Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Tuesday, January 30, reveals that Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart) caught Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein) sneaking out of Everett Lynch’s (Blake Berris) room, so he hinted that this might turn into a Lady Whistleblower scoop.
However, Stephanie made it clear that it was none of Everett’s business and threatened to advise Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) that Leo’s column had become a PR crisis.
After Stephanie left on Tuesday’s Days episode, Leo knocked on Everett’s door to get his side of the story, so Everett dragged him off to breakfast so they could talk.
Everett insisted nothing happened with Stephanie and they just fell asleep after talking, so Everett eventually claimed he believed him and vowed to keep the news to himself.
Over with Kayla Johnson (Mary Beth Evans), she was on her way home from work and acknowledged that Sweet Bits may not officially be open yet, but she hoped she could get the banana muffins she pre-ordered.
Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens) said they’d be ready in a few minutes and gave Kayla a chance to admire her engagement ring in the meantime.
When Kayla learned Chanel and Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) were getting married on Valentine’s Day, she mentioned that was her anniversary date with Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols), too.
After Kayla got her muffins and headed home, Stephanie appeared in the town square next. Chanel handed over fresh coffee and said that Stephanie just missed Kayla.
Stephanie assumed Chanel was wondering why she was leaving the Salem Inn so early, but Chanel assured Stephanie that she wasn’t.
Since Stephanie was a grown woman, Chanel insisted it was no one’s business but her own.
Stephanie appreciated that and wished more people in Salem would adopt the same attitude.
Once Stephanie gushed over Chanel’s engagement ring and wedding plans, it warmed her heart to see someone happy and in love.
At Steve and Kayla’s place, she slipped into bed with him and got updates on Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) asking him to check on John Black (Drake Hogestyn) last night.
Steve relayed concerns about Konstantin Meleounis’ (John Kapelos) history and the fact that he was a con man, but Kayla ultimately urged him to get more sleep. After Steve admitted he couldn’t go back now, he added that it was because he smelled banana muffins.
Once Steve and Kayla heard the front door open, Stephanie peeked in and heard about the muffins Kayla had brought home.
After Stephanie put pajamas on, she spent some time in her parents’ room and told them she spent the night with a friend.
However, Steve quizzed Stephanie alone later, so she assured him that nothing happened with Everett and that she wasn’t rushing into anything.
Steve was pleased to hear that, but he also urged Stephanie to go with whatever she felt was right and not let anyone say anything to hold her back.
At the DiMera mansion, Johnny found Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash) in a grumpy mood and questioned why. Johnny felt there was so much to celebrate, especially now that he was engaged to Chanel.
Stefan struggled to be happy for Johnny since he got married six months ago and his own wife was stuck behind bars.
Johnny was sorry about that, but he didn’t get why Stefan was cheating on Gabi Hernandez DiMera (Camila Banus) if he was madly in love with her.
Stefan acted like things were complicated, but Johnny wasn’t impressed with Stefan’s attempts to justify his affair with Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun).
At home on Tuesday’s Days episode, Wendy Shin (Victoria Grace) called Tripp Johnson (Lucas Adams) “my love” since she assumed he was on the other side of the fridge, but it turned out to be Ava.
Ava suggested having a woman-to-woman chat over coffee, which led to her grilling Wendy about her intentions with Tripp.
Since so many other women had taken advantage of Tripp’s good heart and cast him aside, Ava asked if Wendy was “for real.” If Wendy wasn’t, Ava thought it’d be better for Wendy to bow out now.
Wendy resented the idea that she was using Tripp and not all in on their relationship.
Although Wendy didn’t know if she should dignify that with a response, she eventually made it clear that her love with Tripp was the real deal.
Ava argued that she was being protective of her son and felt Wendy would understand one way when she was a mother.
After Ava ignored Harris Michaels’ (Steve Burton) call, Wendy asked her whether she was in love with Harris, Stefan or both.
Once Ava used Wendy’s earlier words against her and refused to dignify that with a response, Wendy left the room to meditate. Ava shrugged it off and didn’t seem bothered by the fact that she’d gotten on Wendy’s bad side.
Harris called again, but Ava ignored it. When the phone rang once more, Ava angrily answered and called Harris by name – only to realize Stefan was on the other end of the line.
Stefan was concerned about the idea of Ava being in touch with Harris and wound up clashing with her.
After Stefan acted like Ava was a highly unappealing woman, she taunted him by claiming she was naked and going to pour hot oil over her body.
Stefan seemed affected by Ava’s words as he ultimately disconnected and unbuttoned the top of his shirt.
At the hospital on Tuesday’s Days episode, Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) learned she had a confidential patient and solved the mystery when she found Paulina Price (Jackée Harry) waiting in an exam room.
Paulina had woken up panicky and a bit short of breath, so Sarah examined her and got her into radiology for an ultrasound.
Although Paulina initially didn’t want to bother Chanel, she eventually let Sarah call her daughter over. Johnny ended up coming too, so Paulina seemed to appreciate the support.
Days of Our Lives spoilers say Paulina will continue to rely on her loved ones ahead of her surgery, so don’t miss what’s ahead on DOOL.
