Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Tuesday, January 9, reveals that Sloan Petersen-Brady (Jessica Serfaty) called Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) to ask when to expect him home for dinner, but Eric couldn’t return just yet since he had to visit Theresa Donovan (Emily O’Brien).
After Eric offered info on Holly Jonas’ (Ashley Puzemis) recent seizure, Sloan felt even guiltier for stealing Jude Brady since Nicole might lose her other child.
Once she hung up with Eric on Tuesday’s Days episode, Sloan summoned Melinda Trask (Tina Huang) and said they needed to give Nicole’s baby back.
Melinda quickly shut down that idea since they could both end up in prison, especially since EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) was the district attorney and would throw the book at them.
Sloan complained about all the stress and mentioned Leo Stark’s (Greg Rikaart) blackmail as well as Nicole kidnapping Jude briefly.
After Sloan admitted she covered for Nicole, part of her wished she’d trusted her instincts and let Nicole face the consequences. Sloan only hid the truth because Eric wanted her to.
Melinda acted like Sloan shouldn’t be feeling sorry for Nicole if that was the case. Although what happened to Holly was tragic, it wasn’t Sloan’s fault and had nothing to do with Jude.
At Alex Kiriakis’ (Robert Scott Wilson) apartment, Eric showed up to see Theresa and got Alex’s reassurance that it was OK for him to stop by.
Theresa wondered if Eric was there to berate her for being a terrible parent, but he was actually there to give her a hug, some guidance and Caroline Brady’s (Peggy McCay) rosary beads.
Eric didn’t blame Tate Black (Jamie Martin Mann) for what happened to Holly – nor did he blame Theresa. This was a tragic situation all around, so Eric thought everyone was hurting and deserved compassion.
Once Eric made it home on Tuesday’s DOOL show, he interrupted Melinda and Sloan’s conversation. Sloan claimed Melinda was just visiting her godson, so Eric was surprised over Sloan giving her the godmother title.
However, Sloan pointed out that without Melinda, they wouldn’t have their little boy and happy family.
On her way out, Melinda told Sloan to remember what they talked about and lied about it being babyproofing.
Eric could tell that Sloan seemed off, but she managed to downplay things once they were alone.
Back with Alex, he was taken aback to find Theresa praying when he brought her a sandwich from the kitchen.
Although Theresa wasn’t the epitome of a good Catholic, her faith was still important to her. Alex was cool with that and cozied up next to Theresa, who recoiled over his attempt at a kiss.
Theresa angrily wondered what Alex was doing, so he apologized for not reading the room and assured Theresa that he wanted to be there for her emotionally.
Alex managed to shift the mood back in his favor, so Theresa was touched and nuzzled close to him.
At the townhouse on Tuesday’s Days episode, Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) got updates from Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) on how badly things went for Tate earlier.
Brady insisted he was the worst father on the planet before Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) arrived to blast him for missing his scheduled time with Rachel Black (Finley Rose Slater), who cried because Daddy stood her up.
Brady apologized for forgetting he was supposed to meet Rachel an hour ago and said he could explain, so Kristen snapped that he’d better have a “damn good reason.”
Once Marlena left, Brady gave Kristen the news about Tate being in jail following Holly’s overdose. Brady also explained that Tate was innocent, but EJ had a vendetta and was making him pay for what happened to Holly anyway.
Kristen was brought up to speed on Tate’s bail being revoked and the fact that he was being tried as an adult.
Since Kristen had been out of town with Rachel, she hadn’t heard any of this and was so sorry. Kristen assured Brady that she’d explain everything to Rachel and agreed he could have a chance to make it up to her.
That said, if Brady let Rachel down again, then Kristen warned he’d have to pay. Brady thought that was the real Kristen coming out and wound up joking around with her a bit.
After Kristen talked about Christmas, she offered to let Brady see a cute video she made of Rachel dancing. Brady admitted he wanted more than just videos and said he needed to see his daughter.
As Brady broke down in tears over letting his kids down over and over, Kristen insisted he’d get through this and would be there for Rachel as well as Tate.
Brady cried as Kristen embraced him, so the exes shared a tender moment on Tuesday’s Days episode.
In Konstantin Meleounis’ (John Kapelos) hotel room, he looked through some old pics and did some digging on his computer.
Konstantin clearly thought he recognized John Black (Drake Hogestyn) as a face from the past, but he wanted to do more research.
At the pub, John griped to Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) about Tate’s ordeal before Konstantin walked through the door. That led to Steve and John reminding Konstantin that he needed to leave town.
Konstantin refused to go anywhere willingly, so he suggested John and Steve would have to kidnap him again or wipe him off the map.
John threatened to call the ISA and have Konstantin shipped off to a desolate island, but Konstantin acted like that’d be lovely and would remind him of his villa in Aria.
Steve had a visible reaction to “Aria,” so Konstantin mentioned that flash of recognition and tried to drop a hint about something that was nearby.
Nevertheless, Steve shut down the conversation and warned that Konstantin could either leave on his own or get forcibly exiled – courtesy of the ISA.
Once Marlena arrived and wondered what was going on, Konstantin tried to turn on the charm and ultimately headed out the door.
Konstantin could tell Steve had a reaction to Aria, so he paused for a moment outside and seemed pleased about being on the right track.
Days of Our Lives spoilers say Steve and Konstantin will have some fierce faceoffs over John’s past soon, so stay tuned to DOOL.
