Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Tuesday, July 2, reveals that Paulina Price (Jackée Harry) begged Kayla Johnson (Mary Beth Evans) to dig into Chanel DiMera’s (Raven Bowens) lab results and find out exactly what caused her miscarriage.
Meanwhile, Chanel opened up to Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) about having a happy baby shower dream until she woke up and realized they’d never meet their child.
Johnny consoled Chanel before taking a call from Petyon Russo, who was forced to go ahead and replace Johnny on his movie set.
Although Chanel hoped Johnny might be able to join the production down the road, Johnny wanted to remain right by Chanel’s side in Salem.
Later, Johnny brought Chanel out in a wheelchair as they both ran into Paulina, who offered a heartfelt apology despite Chanel’s cold demeanor.
Kayla eventually appeared with updates based on Chanel’s lab results, which showed she had suffered a partial molar pregnancy.
That meant Chanel’s pregnancy wasn’t viable from the very beginning, so she jumped into Paulina’s arms and apologized for blaming her before.
Next on Tuesday’s Days episode, Kate Roberts Brady (Lauren Koslow) brought some flowers for Paulina and let Abe Carver (James Reynolds) know she was so sorry to hear about Chanel’s miscarriage.
Kate also wanted to talk to Abe about their potential business venture, so she admitted she was thinking of getting back into television production – and this time, she wanted to do scripted programming.
Abe confessed that he was hooked on Body and Soul, so he showed Kate some episodes and got her interested, too.
Although Kate had heard soaps were a dying genre, Abe argued that people had been saying that for years.
Kate got on board with the idea of potentially starting a new soap opera, but she thought they should do their research first.
At the pub later, Kate talked to Kayla about this possible soap opera plan before reading some bad news.
Once Kate found out Body and Soul had been canceled, she knew Abe was going to freak out!
Back with Johnny, he took Chanel home to the DiMera mansion and held her as he continued to offer comfort.
At Marlena Evans’ (Deidre Hall) townhouse on Tuesday’s Days episode, she summoned Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein) and pointed out that Robert “Bobby” Stein (Blake Berris) still wasn’t letting Everett Lynch (Blake Berris) out.
Marlena thought it’d be helpful to have someone who knew Everett try to reach him, so Stephanie agreed to help if she could.
At Bayview on Tuesday’s DOOL show, Bobby told both Marlena and Stephanie to get lost.
Stephanie kept trying to talk to Everett, but Bobby made it clear that he was protecting Everett like he’d been doing for years.
Once Stephanie got frustrated and blew up at Bobby, he suggested maybe they should get her a room at Bayview next!
Marlena thought it was time for Stephanie to go, but she still wished Bobby would see that he was handling this all wrong.
If Marlena and Stephanie kept this up, Bobby reiterated that he’d never let Everett back out.
At the Salem PD, Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) showed up since Jada Hunter (Elia Cantu) had mentioned needing to see him. Jada pointed out that Steve confessed to a crime, so she had no choice but to book him on a felony charge.
Although Steve remained hopeful about Justin Kiriakis (Wally Kurth) working out a plea deal, Jada warned that he could be looking at up to five years in prison if that didn’t pan out.
Steve gave his statement regarding Clyde Weston’s (James Read) escape in the interrogation room, which frustrated Jada since she could tell he wasn’t giving her the whole story.
Jada suspected that Steve was protecting Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) and perhaps John Black (Drake Hogestyn), but she only had a hunch to go on.
After Steve’s mugshot on Tuesday’s Days episode, he hugged it out with Jada ahead of his bail hearing, which Justin was able to put a rush on.
Finally, Stephanie traced Jada down and begged her to go see Bobby since Everett might be lost forever if she didn’t.
Days of Our Lives spoilers say Jada will indeed head to Bayview soon, so we’ll bring you more predictions on all the Bobby drama ahead.
