Days of Our Lives Recap: Tuesday, May 21 Eric Finds Drunk Sloan, Triggers Everett’s Buried Past & Wild Move

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers reveal that Roman Brady (Josh Taylor) admitted Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) passed the test, so he officially gave her the job at the pub following her trial run.

Kate Roberts Brady (Lauren Koslow) witnessed the interaction and cornered Ava alone to warn her not to try taking over the place.

Kate also made it clear that if Harris Michaels (Steve Burton) didn’t come through on getting Lucas Horton (Bryan Dattilo) out of prison, she’d take action.

Next on Tuesday’s Days episode, Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) stopped by Steve Johnson’s (Stephen Nichols) office with some news clippings and Abigail DiMera’s (last played by Marci Miller) journal since it could prove Clyde Weston (James Read) specifically plotted her takedown.

Steve thought Chad should give the journal to the cops, but Chad didn’t think they’d care since Clyde had already been convicted.

Chad was the one who was more interested in proving why Clyde went after Abigail, so Steve agreed to look into it and work on finding Clyde.

Afterward on Tuesday’s DOOL show, Steve met with Ava and assured her that he wouldn’t stand in the way if she wanted to wipe Clyde off the map.

If Clyde turned up in a body bag instead of handcuffs, then so be it.

Once Ava was alone, she got on the phone with Harris and received a positive progress report on the work his naval buddies were doing.

Ava assured Harris that she’d send him the encrypted email once Clyde got in touch and couldn’t wait to see him again.

After Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) stopped by the pub, he told Roman that he was there to pick up some pumpkin pie for dessert.

Roman refused to charge Eric and suggested he could repay him in Jude Brady (Oliver McLarty) visits instead.

Meanwhile, EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) told Sloan Petersen-Brady (Jessica Serfaty) that he caught Nicole DiMera (Arianne Zucker) and Eric kissing, so now he wanted to raise Jude with his wife and cut off her connection to Eric.

EJ felt certain that would happen and offered a prediction about Nicole quitting her job to focus on Jude once she got him back.

Sloan balked at the idea and reminded EJ that Eric was Jude’s bio dad, but EJ warned that secret would never come out.

If Sloan ever breathed a word, EJ would have her thrown behind bars for kidnapping, inflicting emotional distress and even bribery.

Sloan could land in prison and lose everything, but EJ argued that there was a much better option.

EJ suggested he could help Sloan flee the country and give her the freedom to start over anywhere she wanted.

Sloan would get a new identity, fresh passport and a hefty bank account, so all that was hers for the taking if she kept her mouth shut about the paternity.

Otherwise, EJ said they’d go down together, but the difference was he wouldn’t be going to prison like her.

Sloan wanted some time to mull over whether she’d give up Jude and take EJ’s offer, so he gave her 24 hours.

When Eric came home, he was surprised to find both Sloan and Jude were gone.

Eric answered his phone and found out from Roman that Sloan just dropped Jude off at the pub, so he remained baffled.

As for Kate, she told Roman that if Harris didn’t come through for Lucas, then this “mama bear” would take matters into her own hands.

At the DiMera mansion on Tuesday’s Days episode, Chad wanted to speak to EJ since he was both his brother and the acting DA.

EJ decided not to reveal that he’d been fired and let Chad share what he came there to say.

Chad showed EJ the journal that belonged to Abigail and explained why he believed Clyde targeted Abigail since she was about to expose the early days of his drug operation.

That left Chad feeling like it was his fault since Clyde had other issues with Abigail, too – going all the way back to when Abby cheated on Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) with Chad and the Thomas DiMera (Cary Christopher) paternity drama that followed.

EJ assured Chad that only Clyde was to blame for what happened to Abigail and said he’d had people following Clyde’s trail.

After EJ assured Chad that he’d do everything in his power to avenge Abby, Chad appreciated that.

EJ was also by Chad’s side as he faced his fears and finally went in Abigail’s old bedroom.

As Chad thought back to the day he found Abigail bleeding out, he could hear his own voice screaming her name.

Chad had another flashback of EJ supporting him after Abigail’s demise and was grateful for his support in the present as well.

Once Chad said he couldn’t believe Abigail was gone, he added that it didn’t get any easier.

At the Spectator, Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein) told Everett Lynch aka Robert “Bobby” Stein (Blake Berris) about EJ getting fired and replaced with Melinda Trask (Tina Huang), so Leo Stark (Leo Stark) raised suspicions by hinting about what a terrible week it’d been for the now former district attorney.

Once Leo brushed passed the comment, he visited Small Bar with Everett and Stephanie since they wanted to enjoy some drinks.

Leo quickly began feeling like a third wheel, but he became intrigued when he saw Sloan throwing back booze nearby.

Eric eventually showed up on Tuesday’s Days episode and tried to take drunk Sloan home, but she yanked her arm away and repeatedly told him no.

Everett seemed like he went into a trance as Sloan’s voice morphed into another voice from his past – presumably his mother’s – and shouted, “I said no! Get off me!”

Once Everett aka Bobby decided Eric was going to hurt Sloan, he decked Eric and left Stephanie looking horrified.

Days of Our Lives spoilers say Stephanie will face more shockers as Everrett gets a diagnosis soon, so stay tuned for updates on his treatment.
