Days of Our Lives Recap: Wednesday, April 24 – Bobby & Everett Switch – Tripp’s Hong Kong Surprise

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Wednesday, April 24, reveals that Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) spoke to Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash) at the DiMera mansion and wondered who else would have a motive to take Li Shin (Remington Hoffman) out permanently.

Stefan questioned how Kristen was going to prove Gabi Hernandez DiMera’s (last played by Camila Banus) innocence when the cops and his private investigators couldn’t, but she suggested she was a shark who could smell even a drop of blood in the water.

Next on Wednesday’s Days episode, Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) apologized for having to stay another night since Roman Brady (Josh Taylor) refused to let her room with Harris Michaels (Steve Burton).

Tripp Johnson (Lucas Adams) and Wendy Shin (Victoria Grace) insisted it was fine, but Wendy seemed tense and came close to snapping at Ava.

Although Wendy and Tripp were supposed to meet Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein) for lunch, Wendy said she didn’t get much sleep and wasn’t feeling up to it.

Tripp offered to stay home with Wendy, but she was adamant about him going without her and seemed like she wanted to be alone.

Once Tripp took off, Kristen visited Wendy and pitched the idea of a college scholarship in Li’s name since it was the least DiMera Enterprises could do.

Wendy seemed suspicious as Kristen stuck around to discuss the details, especially once it turned into a grilling session about Li’s attack.

After Wendy made it clear that she thought Gabi was guilty, Kristen headed out and left Wendy looking even more stressed.

In Everett Lynch aka Robert “Bobby” Stein’s (Blake Berris) suite at the Salem Inn, Bobby seemed smug as he dumped the signed divorce papers in the trashcan nearby.

Outside the pub on Wednesday’s Days episode, Stephanie shared good news with Jada Hunter (Elia Cantu), who was delighted to learn Everett finally signed the divorce papers as Robert Stein.

When Bobby came strutting over, he seemed interested in catching up with Jada and told her she had a good memory when she remembered his coffee order. Bobby only offered Stephanie a quick “hey,” so she was weirded out over the exchange.

Jada wanted the signed divorce papers, but Bobby said he didn’t have them with him and acted like they’d take care of that soon.

After Bobby headed inside and sat down at a table, he considered doing an article on Officer Rebecca Goldman’s (Christy St. John) double life before opting for a Smith Island snowstorm puff piece.

As Bobby typed out Everett’s name for the byline, he suddenly switched back into Everett mode and seemed confused when Stephanie entered acting put out with him.

Once Harris talked Roman into letting Ava stay at his place temporarily, Roman gave Tripp updates on that decision on Wednesday’s DOOL show.

During their lunch together, Tripp opened up to Stephanie about Wendy’s PTSD and acknowledged that he was struggling too.

Stephanie thought Tripp and Wendy needed a vacation, so she suggested a real break far away from Salem.

Afterward, Tripp returned home and found Wendy upset following a phone call with her father.

Wendy reflected on her parents crying all the time after losing Li and almost losing their daughter as well.

Tripp pulled out his own phone and showed Wendy that he’d purchased some Hong Kong tickets.

After Tripp said he’d already squared away his leave of absence, Wendy was thrilled and said this meant the world to her.

Once Everett turned back to Bobby again, Stephanie had another strange interaction with him.

Bobby dodged Stephanie’s questions about the divorce papers and how evasive he was being, so she was more confused than ever.

At The Bistro on Wednesday’s Days episode, Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) showed up for the soft reopening and warned Stefan to keep his nose clean. If Stefan messed up again, Rafe would be coming for him.

Jada eventually joined Rafe, which led to some awkwardness once Ava and Harris arrived next.

Since Jada clearly disapproved of Harris’ girlfriend, Ava couldn’t resist pushing Jada’s buttons about the fact that she’d lived with Rafe before her.

Harris and Ava took turns subtly searching for Gil Carter’s (David S. Lee) black book while the other sat at their table, but they were unsuccessful.

In the end, Ava and Harris realized they’d have no choice but to break in later.

Once Jada filled Rafe in on Everett signing the divorce papers as Bobby, they stopped by Everett’s suite to pick them up.

Bobby had fished the papers out of the trashcan by then, so he handed them over to Jada after a little stalling and winked at her.

Once Jada and Rafe were gone, Bobby pulled up his engagement pic with Jada and smirked like he planned to win her back for himself.

Days of Our Lives spoilers say Bobby’s about to wreak havoc in Salem, so we’ll pass along predictions on all the twists and turns.
