Days of Our Lives Recap: Wednesday, February 28 – Nicole’s Secrets from Holly – Sarah’s House Call – Tate’s Salem Transfer

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Wednesday, February 28, reveals that EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) and Nicole DiMera (Arianne Zucker) heard Holly Jonas (Ashley Puzemis) coughing on the monitor before she called for her mom.

Once Nicole and EJ rushed out of bed, they joined a confused and groggy Holly in her room.

Holly asked what time it was and kept wondering if the party was over, so she was still pretty out of it and had no idea so much time had passed.

Nicole was careful not to alert Holly to the fact that it was almost March as she explained that she’d been in the hospital.

Although Nicole said Holly was home now and reassured her, Holly still seemed bewildered and struggled to get more than a few words out.

In the town square on Wednesday’s Days episode, Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) picked up some treats from Sweet Bits and bumped into Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey).

That led to some talk about Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) and Chanel DiMera’s (Raven Bowens) marriage do-over as well as EJ’s refusal to believe Xander Cook (Paul Telfer) had been framed.

Once EJ called about Holly waking up, Sarah said she’d be right over. Although Sarah couldn’t break doctor-patient confidentiality, she felt certain that Chad would get a call from his brother soon.

After Sarah left on Wednesday’s DOOL show, Chad ran into Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein) and said he was sorry since he heard about Everett Lynch aka Bobby Stein (Blake Berris).

Stephanie considered the possibility that she fell for a pathological liar and accepted Chad’s invitation to accompany her to the Horton house to get her mind off things.

Chad had to take some pics for the insurance adjusters, so he showed Stephanie the damage and filled her in on the Horton ornaments surviving the fire.

Stephanie was also delighted to see that Tom Horton (Macdonald Carey) and Alice Horton’s (Frances Reid) chair made it through the fire without so much as a mark.

EJ eventually called Chad to tell him about Holly waking up, so Chad was happy to hear it.

There was no progress in the investigation into the fire and the phone call Chad received that night, but EJ tried to stay optimistic.

Stephanie was glad to hear about Holly as well and questioned Chad about the phone call, so he told her about the distorted voice and the ominous message that he assumed came from Clyde Weston (James Read).

Back at the DiMera mansion, Sarah did a brief examination of Holly, who was still disoriented and kept falling asleep.

However, Sarah was pleased with the exam results and thought it amazing that Holly even opened her eyes.

After Sarah expressed hope for Holly’s full recovery, she gave Nicole some instructions on how to care for her daughter and wanted to do more tests at the hospital once Holly had a chance to get acclimated.

There was some tension between Sarah and EJ due to the whole Xander situation, so EJ made himself scarce. Nicole was sorry, but Sarah acted like it was fine since caring for Holly was her priority.

That said, Sarah wasn’t sure how to reconcile the loving stepfather version of EJ with the one who refused to consider that Xander had been set up.

Nicole insisted the truth would come out, so Sarah said it had better since she knew deep in her soul that Xander was innocent.

In the park on Wednesday’s Days episode, Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson) was distracted as he literally ran into Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk), so that led to a conversation about what was on his mind.

Kristen thought Alex was a case of evolution in reverse when she found out Alex bought Theresa Donovan (Emily O’Brien) a ring, let her get excited over it and then didn’t propose.

Alex defended his decision to back out of popping the question due to the meeting he attended for partners of addicts – not to mention Tate Black (Jamie Martin Mann) complicated things for him as well.

Kristen wasn’t surprised Theresa moved out after Alex broke her heart.

Since Theresa moved in with Brady Black (Eric Martsolf), Kristen fumed and bickered with Alex over whether she could get her ex back.

Kristen eventually decided to make up an excuse to visit the townhouse and hinted about Theresa needing to pay a visit there, too.

Next on Wednesday’s Days episode, Brady and Theresa worried about Tate’s recent outburst.

Although Brady tried to tell himself that all teenage boys hated their parents at some point, Theresa didn’t think Tate should take his issues out on them.

When Tate called, Theresa put him on speakerphone and wondered if he was going to apologize.

Tate had updates instead since a spot opened up at a halfway house in Salem.

Theresa and Brady were eager to have Tate closer to home, but Tate acted like that was a negative thing for him and remained on the fence about even taking the spot.

Kristen showed up under the guise of giving Brady the Valentine’s Day card that Rachel Black (Finley Rose Slater) taped back together.

Although Kristen suggested visiting Rachel as a team and proving they could work out their issues, Brady argued that they couldn’t work out their issues at all and wanted Kristen to leave.

When Alex arrived, Brady sarcastically insisted that now it was a party.

Alex wanted to have an honest conversation with Theresa, but she shut him down and eventually took Tate’s follow-up call.

Since Tate had decided to take the spot in the Salem halfway house, Brady and Theresa hugged over the transfer news. Kristen and Alex were stuck looking jealous nearby.

Days of Our Lives spoilers say Theresa and Brady will keep hoping to fix things with their son, so stay tuned to see if Tate will cooperate.
