Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers reveal that Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) finally had Clyde Weston (James Read) right where he wanted him before Catharina Greene (Susan Elena Matus) ruined his plans.
Chad was desperate for info on Abigail DiMera’s (Marci Miller) remains, so Clyde finally said he’d tell Chad the truth. However, Clyde warned that Chad wasn’t going to like it!
“Well, Abigail is—” Clyde said before Catharina fired at him and cut him off on December 11.
Of course, Days fans know that led to Clyde’s emergency surgery and the doctor’s news that he was in a coma.
Based on what Chad learned at the hospital, there’s not much hope for Clyde waking up anytime soon.
Clyde’s exit has been confirmed for now, but it’s significant that Days let him live instead of finally ending him for good.
There must be a reason why – and we’d say it involves the secret Clyde’s keeping about Abigail.
We couldn’t help but notice that Clyde referred to Abigail in the present tense as he began his final statement about her.
Clyde also didn’t add anything about Abigail’s remains, body or corpse in those last words.
What if Clyde was about to reveal that Abigail is alive and being held hostage somewhere?
It’s even possible that Abigail is off recovering in a coma of her own if she somehow miraculously returned from the grave.
Another option might be if Abigail survived and has been brainwashed to be somebody else.
Abigail could be doing Clyde’s dirty work somewhere believing she’s a completely different person.
Whatever the case, it makes sense that there’s more to the puzzle since Clyde said Chad wasn’t going to like the truth.
That sounded like a bigger deal than just telling Chad the location of Abigail’s remains.
Chad certainly wouldn’t like it if Clyde put him through all this grief for nothing and robbed Abby’s kids of years with their mother!
This whole imposter plot with Cat Greene (AnnaLynne McCord) may have been a distraction from the real Abigail story underneath.
Perhaps Clyde was finally planning to reveal Abigail’s survival and shake things up all over again.
DOOL viewers can’t know for sure since Catharina was a little too quick to pull that trigger.
Regardless, our Days predictions point to Clyde’s half confession meaning something, so he may awaken and reveal more down the road.
This “Abigail is” hint could pave the way for her return – whether Marci Miller comes back or a recast takes over.
