Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers reveal that there’s some big casting news to report – and involves an intriguing recast. According to reliable DOOL insiders, AlexAnn Hopkins is joining Days as the new Joy Wesley.
If you’re not familiar with Joy or need a memory refresher, she’s the younger sister of Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin) and was originally conceived in hopes that she could be Chloe’s bone marrow donor.
Joy was indeed a match and saved Chloe’s life, but she also became a very beloved member of the Wesley family.
Of course, Joy is the second daughter of Nancy Miller (Patrika Darbo) and Craig Wesley (Kevin Spirtas).
Patrika Darbo recently hinted about her October return, so Nancy may play a role in reintroducing Joy Wesley to the canvas.
Whatever the case, AlexAnn Hopkins will make her debut as Joy Wesley down the road, so we should go ahead and make some predictions about her potential love interest.
There are already some rumblings about Joy possibly being paired up with Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman), especially since Hopkins follows Boatman on Instagram.
Most soap couples don’t last forever, so we won’t be surprised if trouble in Johnny’s marriage opens the door to a pairing with Joy.
Days spoilers hint that Johnny and Chanel DiMera (Raven Bowens) indeed have some relationship problems brewing, so we’ll see if their romance ends in divorce!
Regardless, Joy and Johnny could become a couple to root for sooner or later, so we’ll see how it all plays out.
As for AlexAnn Hopkins, you might recognize her from roles on The Goldbergs, Criminal Minds, Reckless Juliets, Chicago P.D. and more.
Days fans will want to give Hopkins a warm welcome to the cast as we look forward to her first appearance as Joy somewhere down the line.
Once Hopkins’ first airdate gets closer, we’ll bring you updates on any other exciting news related to her character.
Days of Our Lives spoilers say Joy will shake things up, so don’t miss all the action!
