Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers reveal that Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) will have to find a way forward now that he knows Abigail DiMera (Marci Miller) isn’t really back from the grave. It was devastating for Chad to learn “Abigail” was actually an imposter, so he’s been pretty hard on Cat Greene (AnnaLynne McCord) ever since the truth came out.
However, Cat obviously has real feelings for Chad and would like a second chance if that’s possible.
Although Cat doesn’t have high hopes at this point, she’d give just about anything for a clean slate.
Days spoilers hint that Chad and Cat may still have a love story in the works, so it’s just a matter of Chad somehow forgiving Cat and learning to accept her as someone other than Abigail.
Here are three ways for Chad’s change of heart to happen.
1) Cat’s risky Clyde drama
Of course, Cat is already putting a lot on the line through their Clyde Weston (James Read) takedown mission, so that may be step one of winning Chad over.
Cat and Chad’s plan will come with some dangerous curveballs, so he may be impressed if she’s the one who steps up and helps them pull this off despite the snags.
2) Cat’s emotional mom outcome
Days can’t just leave this hostage Catharina Meleounis Greene (last played by Ellie Patrikios) story dangling, so there has to be some sort of resolution coming.
If Catharina doesn’t make it, then Chad may see how high the stakes truly were for Cat and have some sympathy for her as she grieves.
That said, it’s perhaps more likely that Catharina will be rescued, so Chad may be moved over Cat’s emotional reunion with her mom in that case.
Either way, we’d say some Catharina developments will help Chad on his path to forgiveness.
3) Cat’s younger sibling bonding
Chad may also get a glimpse of what Cat’s truly like as she bonds with her younger siblings.
Cat will continue her efforts to rebuild a relationship with Aaron Greene (Louis Tomeo) and be the big sister he needs.
Days spoilers say Cat will reunite with Felicity Greene (Kennedy Garcia) as well, so Chad will be able to see their connection and may be touched over how much Cat loves her little sis.
Bottom line, there are ways for Chad to see another side of Cat and understand that she’s not the monster he once thought she was.
After Chad realizes Cat’s a good person at her core, our DOOL predictions point to him opening his heart and letting a new love story begin.
