Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers reveal that that Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) and Abe Carver (James Reynolds) will try to round out the cast of Body and Soul. Many of the key roles have been filled, but there’ll be room for at least two more cast members during the week of August 19-23.
That’s when Abe and Johnny will make a surprising pitch to Chanel DiMera (Raven Bowens) and Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson).
Days spoilers say Johnny and Abe will both see Chanel’s potential star power – and they’ll feel the same way about Alex.
Of course, DOOL fans know Alex and Chanel aren’t professional actors, so they may have some doubts about joining the cast of a soap opera.
Chanel already has a successful bakery to run, so she may be hesitant to take a step back from Sweet Bits.
However, Johnny may argue that Chanel can still work at the bakery part-time and delegate to trusted employees whenever she’s on set.
This could be an exciting opportunity, so Johnny and Abe will at least push Chanel to audition.
As for Alex, Days spoilers say he’ll face pressure to audition as well since he’s got good looks and plenty of charisma.
Abe and Johnny will feel confident that Alex can be an appealing leading man, so they’ll try to get him on board.
Since Alex is trying to reinvent himself in the aftermath of Theresa Donovan’s (Emily O’Brien) inheritance scheme, this acting gig could be a good thing.
It’d be a new career path for Alex now that he’s left Titan.
Since it looks like Chanel and Alex will audition at the same time, this could turn into a bit of a chemistry test.
Although Johnny may trust that Alex and Chanel are just acting at first, that could change if they score the roles and get paired up on the show.
It’s easy to imagine Johnny getting jealous as the co-stars seemingly get closer, especially since Chanel and Alex have hooked up before as part of that threesome with Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold).
Based on our Days predictions, Johnny and Chanel have some surprising marriage problems ahead of them, so maybe Alex will come between them as this story moves along.
