Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers reveal that Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) is on a mission to find Abigail DiMera’s (Marci Miller) remains. Chad feels like Abigail’s memory was desecrated through the whole imposter plot, so he’s trying to make things right the only way he knows how.
Now that Chad knows Cat Greene (AnnaLynne McCord) is a fraud, he assumes Clyde Weston (James Read) just got rid of Abigail’s remains to sell his story.
Clyde came up with an elaborate plan to convince Chad that his wife was truly back from the grave, so the casket was empty when Chad tried to have Abby’s body exhumed.
However, Clyde has promised answers about what’s left of Abigail if Chad will deliver Cat to him.
Of course, there could be a twist brewing if Clyde doesn’t really know where Abigail’s remains are.
What if Abigail’s casket was already empty when Clyde’s men got to it?
In other words, Days could leave the door open for Abigail to return for real down the road.
If Abigail’s corpse stays missing, it could pave the way for her to make a comeback at some point in the future.
Days spoilers say Cat will put her own survival at risk to help Chad pull this off.
Cat owes Chad that much – not to mention there could be something in it for her if she can score info about her hostage mother, Catharina Meleounis Greene (last played by Ellie Patrikios).
JJ Deveraux (Casey Moss) will also pitch in with this plot, so it’ll be interesting to see how if all plays out.
Regardless, it’s easy to imagine Clyde not giving Chad the answer he expected regarding Abigail’s remains.
Clyde might admit Abigail’s body was already gone and suggest that Chad will always have to wonder whether she might be out there somewhere.
Maybe Clyde will take some sick satisfaction in leaving Chad with questions.
This DOOL storyline has undergone major rewrites anyway, so they might as well end with this Abigail twist and leave us with the potential for the real Abby to return someday.
