Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers reveal that Thanksgiving will bring some lovely celebrations during the week of November 25-29, but the mood will soon turn somber. Doug Williams’ (Bill Hayes) sad fate will put a damper on the festivities, so let’s talk about how it’ll all play out.
For starters, Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford) and Jennifer Horton Deveraux (Melissa Reeves) will return to help celebrate.
The same goes for Eli Grant (Lamon Archey) and Lani Grant (Sal Stowers) since they’ll also be back in time for turkey and all the trimmings.
Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes) will be thrilled to catch up with everyone, but Doug will deal with more medical issues and stay tucked away in his bedroom.
That’ll lead to Jack making a difficult discovery and ultimately revealing that Doug died in his sleep.
Days spoilers say Julie will mourn the loss and try to find a way to say goodbye to her soulmate.
Since Bill Hayes passed away back in January, it’ll be even harder to watch Julie’s grief knowing that Susan Seaforth Hayes experienced it in real life.
After Julie’s initial heartbreak in DOOL’s November 28 episode, the news of Doug’s passing will spread the following day.
Days spoilers for November 29 point to Hope Brady (Kristian Alfonso) and Shawn Brady (Brandon Beemer) taking some time to grieve, too.
Since Doug was Hope’s father and Shawn’s grandfather, it’s easy to see why they’ll need some mutual comfort.
The idea of living in a world without Doug will be tough for either of them to accept.
Of course, Julie will get plenty of support as well, so look for many Salemites to rally around her.
