That’s just not how it goes for married couples in Salem, so some issues are brewing in Chanel and Johnny’s relationship.
DOOL fans know Chanel lost the baby she was carrying, so that alone was a stressful ordeal for the couple.
Johnny also wound up missing out on a job offer that would’ve allowed him to work with his favorite director, so some big plans fell through.
Chanel and Johnny managed to cling to each other instead of falling apart, but that could change as new obstacles arise.
Johnny and Chanel may end up turning to other people instead, so that could lead to some cheating temptation.
Days spoilers hint that Chanel and Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson) may audition for Body & Soul together, so they could easily become co-stars and heat things – perhaps both on-screen and off!
Johnny may at least suspect something’s going on between Alex and Chanel as time goes on.
If Johnny starts acting jealous and controlling, that could cause some fights and push Chanel right into Alex’s arms.
However, Chanel may not be the only one dealing with some temptation in the coming weeks or months.
Days spoilers say Gabi Hernandez DiMera’s (Cherie Jimenez) own marriage issues could leave her turning to Johnny for support, so some mutual comfort could lead to trouble.
Back when Johnny was possessed, he had a thing for Gabi and pursued her a bit. Gabi viewed Johnny more like a cute boy and a useful pawn than a real man at the time.
A lot has changed since then, so Gabi might start to look at Johnny with fresh eyes.
That’s especially true after the intriguing scenes Gabi and Johnny shared at the hospital on August 6.
Gabi seemed genuinely touched over Johnny’s visit to comatose Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) who was his former stepfather.
There were some sweet moments between them – like when Johnny put his hand on Gabi’s shoulder and ultimately gave her a pep talk about Rafe making a recovery.
Gabi and Johnny had an interesting vibe, so Days may have laid the groundwork for them to fall into bed together down the road.
Now that Gabi is furious with Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash), she may be looking to get back at him by sizzling with someone else.
The fact that Johnny is Stefan’s nephew might make it even more satisfying for vengeful Gabi.
Of course, there could also be a genuine connection that grows and becomes more passionate.
It could be enough to convince Johnny to cheat on his wife, especially if he’s having marital problems because of his concerns about Alex and Chanel.
