Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers reveal that Tate Black (Jamie Martin Mann) will have a new look soon. According to TV Insider, the role of Tate has been recast, so Leo Howard will take over starting April 5 – though other reports say he may pop up at the end of the April 4 episode.
This news may be disappointing for fans of Jamie Martin Mann, who has proven to be a talented young actor throughout his stint as Theresa Donovan (Emily O’Brien) and Brady Black’s (Eric Martsolf) troubled son.
However, there’s a good reason for Mann’s exit since it was his choice.
Mann made the decision to focus on finishing his college degree, so Days needed someone else to fill Tate’s shoes following his departure.
Leo Howard was cast quickly, so his version of Tate will be thrown into the middle of a big storyline – especially now that Holly Jonas (Ashley Puzemis) has confessed that the drugs she overdosed on were hers.
Days spoilers say Tate’s feelings about Holly will remain complicated, so Howard will have some great material to play right off the bat.
It turns out Howard has a personal relationship with another DOOL recast – albeit a temporary one.
Natasha Hall has been filling in for Jessica Serfaty as Sloan Petersen-Brady and happens to be Howard’s fiancée in real life.
As for Howard’s other acting credits, you might’ve seen him in various film and television projects like Legacies, The 100, Santa Clarita Diet, Major Crimes, Kickin’ It and more.
It’ll be interesting to see Howard’s spin on the role of Tate Black, who’ll finally score his freedom soon according to the latest Days spoilers.
Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) will plan some father-son time with Tate and hope they can deepen their relationship once he’s on the outside.
Unfortunately, Tate will be rather distracted since he’ll fret over Holly and the punishment she’s facing.
It sounds like Tate and Holly’s love story will come with plenty more twists and turns, so stay tuned to watch Leo Howard take part in the next chapter.
