Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers indicate that the week of December 16-20 will offer some explosive drama in the land of Salem.
As per the DOOL preview, Sophia Choi (Madelyn Kientz) is about to tell Tate Black (Leo Howard) that she’s pregnant with their baby.
Added teasers suggest that Tate will promise to do all he can to support her during this challenging time as the two transition from awkward high school teens into young parents.
It’s hard to say if Sophia is faking a pregnancy to snag Tate or if she is expecting.
After all, she was quick to drop Tate like a bad habit after she found out that he is heart belonged to Holly Jonas (Ashley Puzemis).
Regardless, Sophia may not only be terrified about becoming a teen mom, but also be worried about her parents’ reaction.
Sophia has often mentioned how unreasonable and strict her mom was in the past. This is why she turned to Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) for so much advice.
Could Sophia’s parents be uber traditional?
They may shutter at the idea of their daughter having a baby out of wedlock and could insist that if she was ‘in love’ enough to sleep with Tate, Sophia is surely ‘in love’ enough to marry him!
Sophia is anything but traditional; however, in an effort to appease her mother and father, she could come up with a plan.
She may approach Tate begging him to marry her to keep her parents off her back until the baby comes.
The don’t really need to be a “married” couple; just have a quicky wedding so she could live with Tate and when the baby is born, some months later, the two could get the marriage annulled.
This would definitely buy Sophia some time to calm her parents with the scandalous news and give her the freedom to go about her business.
It may also help her save some money so she could eventually move out on her own and figure out how to balance a job, baby, schooling, and future career goals.
Tate feels bad about how he ended things with Sophia, so he may agree to saying, “I do” and allowing Sophia to live with him, until the baby comes.
Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) will likely have reservations, but if Sophia has an unsettling home life, he may want to do everything he can to ensure his grandchild is born in a safe and stress-free environment.
But how would this change the dynamics between Holly and Tate?
The two have yet to do the deed, so this would stall any sort of funny business between the teens as having one pregnant baby momma on Tate’s plate is plenty.
It may be a turn off between Holly and Tate to go that extra step, plus, constantly having Sophia around, doctor’s appointments, and such, might cause their romance to fizzle.
Not to mention Holly and Tate might have to “sneak around” for fear that The Choi’s see them together and question the legitimacy of his marriage to Sophia.
Days of Our Lives spoilers suggest things are about to get very complicated in Tate’s life now that he’s a dad to be.
Whether or not Tate and Sophia decide to keep their baby, place it for adoption, or terminate the pregnancy; this situation will change the romantic landscape within Salem’s teen scene, for sure.
