Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Thursday, November 28, reveals that Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes) grilled Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) about why Cat Greene (AnnaLynne McCord) was out of jail and staying at the Horton house, so he confessed the plan use her as bait for Clyde Weston (James Read) and get Abigail DiMera’s (Marci Miller) remains back.
Next on Thursday’s Days episode, Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford) and Jennifer Horton Deveraux (Melissa Reeves) returned to Salem, so they weren’t pleased to find Cat in the Horton living room.
After Jennifer slapped Cat for impersonating Abigail, Cat admitted she deserved that.
Jennifer insisted it was actually the least Cat deserved and felt she should leave.
Chad popped up to admit they needed Cat to get Abigail’s body back, but Jennifer and Jack still weren’t happy about this.
At the Hernandez house on Thursday’s Days episode, JJ Deveraux (Casey Moss) showed up to ask Gabi Hernandez (Cherie Jimenez) if she’d be part of the decoy mission.
Since Clyde was expecting two people to check in a hotel as Mr. and Mrs. DiMera, JJ needed Gabi’s help to pull this off.
JJ acknowledged that the mission was risky, but he hoped to help Chad and Cat stay ahead of Clyde with this plan.
As a former cop, JJ vowed to do everything he could to protect Gabi if she decided she was on board.
Gabi seemed unsure at first, but she ultimately decided Clyde Weston (James Read) ruined her life and that she wanted to make him pay.
Back with Chad on Thursday’s DOOL show, he got a phone call from Clyde with the hotel details. Chad insisted the meeting was happening now, so he let Cat know the DiMera jet was ready.
When JJ appeared, he revealed to Jennifer and Jack that he’d be pitching in with this Clyde takedown plan.
JJ said Gabi was in too, but Jack and Jennifer had plenty of objections.
Jennifer begged JJ not to do this since she didn’t want to risk losing another child.
However, JJ insisted this was his decision, so he wanted to get Abigail’s remains back and get justice as well.
In the town square on Thursday’s Days episode, Gabi joined JJ, Chad and Cat as they prepared for their flight.
Gabi threw some blame Cat’s way about all the Clyde drama and suggested she agreed with Julie for once.
Once Eli Grant (Lamon Archey) and Lani Grant (Sal Stowers) returned to Salem with the twins, they caught up with Paulina Price (Jackée Harry) and Abe Carver (James Reynolds) at their apartment.
In a moment alone with Eli, Paulina made a pitch for him to return to the Salem PD.
Since Paulina needed good detectives, she hoped that Eli and Lani could be a package deal.
Lani and Abe rejoined Paulina as well as Eli, so they all talked about this Salem PD return possibility.
Since Lani had a felony conviction, she reminded Paulina that she couldn’t rejoin the force.
Paulina felt certain she could pull some strings and make this happen, but Lani didn’t think that’d be a good look.
Abe had another solution and suggested Lani could play a cop on Body & Soul instead.
Although Paulina liked the sound of that, Lani insisted she already had a part-time job lined up and that she’d be helping at the preschool.
Since the twins were happy and Eli liked his current job as well, it just wasn’t the right time for Lani and Eli to move.
That said, Eli and Lani made a prediction about moving back to Salem someday when the time was right.
Eli eventually made his way to the Horton house, where he caught up with Julie.
That gave Jack a chance to head upstairs to Doug Williams’ (Bill Hayes) bedroom since Julie wanted him to wake Doug up for dinner.
Unfortunately, Doug wouldn’t wake up, so Jack reeled over that discovery and had to break the sad news to Julie soon after.
After Jack admitted he couldn’t wake Doug, he told Julie that he was so sorry.
Once Julie gasped in horror, she dropped the candlestick she was holding and nearly fainted as Jack tried to steady her.
