Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Thursday, October 24, reveals that Nancy Wesley (Patrika Darbo) pushed for answers about whether Joy Wesley (AlexAnn Hopkins) slept with the man who left the wedding ring in her room.
Joy wasn’t interested in talking about this with her mother, but she did point out that she wasn’t the one who was married here. After Joy insisted the guy’s wife was cheating on him anyway, Nancy argued that two wrongs didn’t make a right.
During Nancy’s lecture, Joy lashed out and acted like her mom only cared about her “real” daughter, Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin). Joy was originally conceived to be a bone marrow donor, but Nancy assured her that she was just as loved as her older sister.
Although Joy accepted that Nancy loved her, she noted that this didn’t fix the issues between them. Joy eventually talked to Nancy about her positive audition and turned down a lunch invitation in favor of going for a walk alone.
At the hospital on Thursday’s Days episode, Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) stood there looking confused and awkward as everyone sang Happy Birthday at his surprise party.
Johnny realized Chanel DiMera (Raven Bowens) had been at Alex Kiriakis’ (Robert Scott Wilson) apartment planning his birthday bash, but that still didn’t explain the cheating he witnessed on set.
Johnny got Seth Burns (Bruce Beatty) to confirm he saw Arrow and Faith going at it, but Seth pointed out that he thought Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein) was playing Faith since she’d been rehearsing with Alex.
Once Johnny discovered just how wrong he was, he didn’t know what to say. Chanel smashed cake in Johnny’s face and said that was good because her mama always said you should never talk with your mouth full.
Johnny followed Chanel to an exam room and tried to apologize, but he also defended how things looked from his perspective. Chanel argued that Johnny only connected the dots because he believed she was capable of cheating on the husband she loved.
After Chanel ranted about Johnny not trusting her, he insisted she was right and that he should have. Chanel noticed that Johnny’s wedding ring was missing, so he admitted he took it off.
That left Chanel furious, so she once again blasted Johnny for his false assumptions and told him to get out.
Outside the pub on Thursday’s Days episode, Joy found Johnny sitting on a bench. Once Joy said she was glad she ran into Johnny, she handed over his wedding ring since he left it in her room last night.
At the Body & Soul office, Abe Carver (James Reynolds) gave Kate Roberts Brady (Lauren Koslow) updates on Joy’s promising audition, so she was pleased.
Next on Thursday’s DOOL episode, Paulina Price (Jackée Harry) arrived with news on all the drama that played out at the surprise party. It left Paulina wishing Abe hadn’t had the bright idea to pair up Chanel and Alex on the show.
Abe hoped that Alex and Johnny could work things out, but Paulina was worried since Johnny really hurt Chanel. Later, Paulina found Chanel and asked if she was OK, so Chanel cried in her mom’s arms and admitted she wasn’t.
Meanwhile, Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart) and Bonnie Kiriakis (Judi Evans) swiped Johnny’s birthday cake, so they munched on it in the town square while they talked about Hattie Adams’ (Deidre Hall) coming true.
Nancy popped up on Thursday’s Days episode and confronted Leo for being a “little homewrecker” over all the past drama with Craig Wesley (Kevin Spirtas).
Back with Kate, she told Alex and Stephanie that she should fire them both for their on-set hookup, but she ultimately let them keep their jobs – though this was their final warning to stay away from each other.
