Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Thursday, September 5, reveals that Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) gave John Black (Drake Hogestyn) a pep talk before he headed to the Salem PD for a visit with Brady Black (Eric Martsolf).
Meanwhile, Tate Black (Leo Howard) joined Brady in the interrogation room and got updates on how he fell off the wagon.
Tate assured Brady that he forgave him for the hit-and-run accident and hugged his dad as he showed his support.
At the Kiriakis mansion on Thursday’s Days episode, Xander Kiriakis (Paul Telfer) pushed Justin Kiriakis (Wally Kurth) to fire Brady as a client.
Justin argued with Xander until Fiona Cook (Serena Scott Thomas) piped up that it was just an accident.
Fiona pointed out that alcoholism was a disease and went easy on Brady, but she made sure Xander knew she was on his side.
Xander was grateful since Fiona had been a huge help ever since Sarah Kiriakis (Linsey Godfrey) was run down.
In Sarah’s bedroom on Thursday’s Days episode, she assured Maggie Kiriakis (Suzanne Rogers) that she didn’t need help transferring herself from her wheelchair to the bed. Holly Jonas (Ashley Puzemis) came along and was heartbroken as she watched Sarah struggle.
Sarah finally let Maggie and Holly help her before Holly once again apologized.
If Holly had left the cabin key where it was supposed to be, she insisted Sarah’s accident wouldn’t have happened.
Sarah repeatedly worked to convince Holly that the drunk driver was the only person responsible for her current predicament.
After Holly left, she met up with Tate in the park and was shocked over his compassion for Brady.
Holly ranted about Sarah’s paralysis and reminded Tate that her own father was killed in a drunk-driving accident.
Tate understood that made it harder for Holly, but he pointed out that she forgave Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan).
Holly was confused over what Eric had to do with Daniel Jonas’ (Shawn Christian) demise, so Tate quickly realized he’d said too much.
Back at the Kiriakis mansion on Thursday’s DOOL show, Xander and Fiona visited Sarah’s room.
As Fiona was talking about what happened that night, Sarah flashed back to some hazy memories of the car speeding toward her with a blurry Fiona driving.
Sarah seemed pensive and looked in Fiona’s direction as Xander wondered what was wrong.
At the police station on Thursday’s Days episode, John warned Brady not to plead guilty without all the facts.
Since John felt there could be far more to the story, he urged Brady to think of his loved ones before sending himself to prison.
At the townhouse, Marlena greeted Eric with a warm embrace and was glad he came back to Salem to support Brady.
Eric couldn’t stay away when his brother needed him and reflected on how he understood since he caused Daniel’s fatal crash.
Eric and Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker) had never told Holly the truth about his role in that accident, so he planned to tell Holly before she heard it from someone else.
Since Eric will obviously be too late, our predictions point to plenty of drama erupting over this buried secret.
