Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Tuesday, August 6, reveals that Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) put a hand on Gabi Hernandez DiMera’s (Cherie Jimenez) shoulder and surprised her by visiting Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) at the hospital. Johnny reflected on memories of Rafe being his superhero back when Rafe was his stepfather.
Johnny also comforted Gabi over Rafe’s coma and expressed how sorry he was that EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) delayed her prison release.
As for Gabi’s decision to spill the beans about Jude Brady’s (Oliver McLarty) paternity, Johnny thought she did the right thing.
Afterward on Tuesday’s Days episode, Johnny made love with Chanel DiMera (Raven Bowens) at home and caught up on some Body and Soul episodes.
Chanel teased Johnny about watching TV being work since he was doing it to get a feel for the show’s directing style.
At home, Connie Viniski (Julie Dove) gloated to Li Shin (Remington Hoffman) about the juicy secret that landed in her lap since she overheard that Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) slept with Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash).
Connie was willing to wait on blowing up Gabi’s marriage to Stefan since she wanted to do the maximum damage.
In fact, Connie made a prediction about helping Ava and Gabi bond as friends so that’d make the betrayal even worse.
Once Connie decided it was time for bed, she picked up the life-sized cardboard cutout “Li” that she’d been talking to and took him with her.
At The Bistro on Tuesday’s Days episode, Ava caught Stefan off guard with her arrival.
Once Ava admitted Connie might’ve overheard about their hookup, Stefan flipped out and said this was bad.
Ava argued that maybe Connie didn’t hear the whole truth or understand what she heard, but Stefan remained on edge.
Stefan wanted a new rule where they didn’t talk about what happened between them and clammed up when Gabi appeared.
Gabi questioned why Ava was at The Bistro on Tuesday’s DOOL show, so Ava pretended it was because of some papers she needed signed – though she claimed she realized Connie already brought them.
At the Salem PD, Jada Hunter (Elia Cantu) gave Paulina Price (Jackée Harry) updates on Robert “Bobby” Stein’s (Blake Berris) suicide note, criminal confession, bloody gloves and the fatal overdose that obviously killed Everett Lynch (Blake Berris), too.
Jada struggled to believe Bobby was capable of killing Rafe, but Paulina pointed out that Jada didn’t know he was struggling with dissociative identity disorder either back when they were married.
Although Jada blamed herself for Rafe’s coma crisis, she got a pep talk from Paulina on Tuesday’s Days episode.
Jada also still had questions about Li’s demise since Bobby didn’t confess anything about that in the note and had no motive to have gone after him.
Once Jada called Gabi to give her the news about Bobby’s confession regarding Rafe, Gabi said it felt unsatisfying.
Stefan insisted justice had been served in a way since Bobby was gone and couldn’t hurt anyone else.
In the hallway outside their apartments, Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson) and Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein) realized they were neighbors again and decided to grab a drink together at the pub.
After Alex reflected on losing his inheritance and adjusting to not being Victor Kiriakis’ (John Aniston) son, talk turned to Stephanie’s heartache over her Everett breakup.
Alex asked if there was any chance they might get back together, but Stephanie confirmed they wouldn’t since Everett was deceased.
A stunned Alex got the scoop on Bobby seemingly taking the pills and held Stephanie’s hand to comfort her as she cried.
As Alex got up to pay for their drinks, he pointed out that supporting Stephanie now was repaying the favor since she was there for him the night of his wedding blowup.
Days of Our Lives spoilers say Alex and Stephanie will start inching toward a romantic reconnection, so stay tuned.
