Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Tuesday, December 3, reveals that Ciara Brady Weston (Victoria Konefal), Shawn Brady (Brandon Beemer), Lucas Horton (Bryan Dattilo), and Jennifer Horton Deveraux (Melissa Reeves) all examined the contents of the time capsule together.
There were some letters that Tom Horton (Macdonald Carey) and Alice Horton (Francis Reid) exchanged along with the deed of sale for the Horton cabin on Smith Island.
Plus, a lock of Marie Horton’s (Maree Cheatham) baby hair was inside, as well as some baby shoes from other family members.
When Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes) came downstairs, she was thrilled to see Ciara, Shawn, and Lucas.
Julie hugged all three of them before introducing Steven Olson (Stephen Schnetzer) as her “long-lost baby brother” once he came down next.
After Julie found out Ciara got the time capsule open, she was eager to see what was inside.
Julie saw that her grandmother’s diamond necklace was in the box, so she marveled over finding it after all these years.
Once everyone headed out for Doug Williams’ (Bill Hayes) memorial, Steven stayed a few steps behind and cast a lingering look in the time capsule’s direction.
In the town square on Tuesday’s Days episode, Maggie Kiriakis (Suzanne Rogers) shouted “enough” once Marie and Liz Chandler (Gloria Loring) began arguing over grudges from the 1980s.
Liz and Marie agreed to call a truce for Doug, so they shook hands right as Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) and Belle Brady Black (Martha Madison) appeared.
After Doug’s service got underway, Shawn read a scripture before Ciara read one of Doug’s favorite poems.
Julie also delivered a beautiful eulogy all about Doug’s life and what he enjoyed most.
Doug really “saw” people and showed them kindness, so Julie sang his praises and talked about “that look of love.”
Liz ultimately sang “I’ll Be Loving You Always” and got everyone to join in the song.
Once the memorial was over, Julie mingled with all the guests and thanked everyone for coming.
Jennifer offered to walk with Julie to the cemetery, but Julie chose to stay with Doug’s portrait for a moment on her own.
Although Belle greeted Shawn briefly and got confirmation that it was OK she came, things were still awkward.
At the townhouse later, Belle told Marlena that she was giving Shawn space and didn’t think he wanted to talk to her.
Marlena didn’t believe that and insisted Shawn still loved Belle.
After Marlena decided to call Shane Donovan (Charles Shaughnessy) and try to get updates to John Black (Drake Hogestyn) about Doug’s passing, she left the room.
There was a knock at the door, so Belle answered it and was surprised to see Shawn standing there.
Back at the Horton house on Tuesday’s Days episode, Marie came over and heard the news about the time capsule.
Ciara went looking for the diamond necklace, but it had vanished from the box.
In the town square again, Steven stopped by his grandparents’ plaque and admitted the old him would’ve been “mightily tempted” by that necklace, but he declared that he was a changed man.
At Paulina Price’s (Jackée Harry) place on Tuesday’s DOOL show, she shared a toast with Lani Grant (Sal Stowers), Eli Grant (Lamon Archey), and Abe Carver (James Reynolds) in memory of Doug.
Roman Brady (Josh Taylor), Kayla Johnson (Mary Beth Evans), Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols), and Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford) also raised their glasses to Doug at the pub.
In the cemetery on Tuesday’s Days episode, Julie was sitting by Doug’s gravestone when she heard some rustling nearby.
A young man appeared and said he was sorry to disturb Julie, who asked who he was.
“I’m Doug Williams,” the man said to a stunned and confused Julie.
