Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Tuesday, December 31, reveals that Arnold Feniger (Galen Gering) told Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) all about how EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) and Stefano DiMera (Joseph Mascolo) faked his demise before sending him to Argentina.
Now that Arnold was no longer in hiding, Rafe pulled out his phone to call the cops on him. Arnold grabbed a heavy trinket to knock Rafe out, so it wasn’t long until Rafe was unconscious on the sofa.
At the Salem PD on Tuesday’s Days episode, EJ accused Jada Hunter (Elia Cantu) of talking Paulina Price (Jackée Harry) into firing him. After EJ warned Jada that she wouldn’t get away with this, Jada grew concerned about how dangerous he could be.
However, Paulina thought EJ was all talk and didn’t think there was any reason for Jada to worry.
When EJ returned to the DiMera mansion on Tuesday’s DOOL show, he blew up at the sight of unconscious Rafe and demanded answers from Arnold. Once Arnold offered updates on what happened, EJ realized they were both stuck in this mess now.
Arnold wound up answering Jada’s phone call to Rafe, so he greeted her as “baby doll” and asked what was shaking. Jada had some big news to deliver and wondered if “Rafe” could meet her at the pub, so Arnold agreed to come.
EJ wasn’t happy about that, but Arnold dashed off to pose as Rafe soon after. That left EJ alone to drag Rafe’s unconscious body down to the DiMera cellar, where he presumably planned to hold him captive in the secret room.
At the pub on Tuesday’s Days episode, Arnold looked at a pic of Jada to confirm what she looked like before approaching her. Jada quickly launched her story about all the DA drama, but then she noticed something strange and asked if “Rafe” had changed his clothes.
Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) also told Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) about confirming the texts came from inside the DiMera mansion, but she eventually admitted she summoned him for something else.
Brady heard the story of Ava spilling too much to Amy Choi (Shi Ne Nielson) before Sophia Choi (Madelyn Kientz) confirmed she slept with Tate Black (Leo Howard). Ava revealed that Sophia threw up and confessed she was pregnant, so Brady was upset over Tate’s mess.
At the Horton house, Doug Williams III (Peyton Meyer) could see that Holly Jonas (Ashley Puzemis) was upset when she arrived, so he invited her to open up. Holly swore Doug to secrecy before explaining all the Tate and pregnant Sophia chaos.
Doug offered support as Holly worried nothing would ever be the same in her relationship with Tate again. Although Doug suggested they should go to the concert together as a distraction, Holly wasn’t feeling up to that.
Doug thought it was bad luck for Holly to celebrate New Year’s Eve alone, so he convinced her they could share some food and watch the ball drop together on TV.
At the townhouse on Tuesday’s Days episode, Sophia’s mom introduced herself to Tate and lashed out since he got her daughter pregnant. After Amy shut down the idea of an abortion due to her religion, she said Tate and Sophia would raise this baby together.
Amy also wouldn’t let this child be born out of wedlock, so she insisted Tate would marry Sophia and said they had a wedding to plan. Tate was overwhelmed over all Amy’s predictions about his future and wondered how he’d explain any of this to Holly.
Once Brady came home and mentioned his conversation with Ava, he asked if Tate had something to tell him. Tate could tell that Brady already knew about Sophia’s pregnancy, but Brady wanted to hear the details from him.
