Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Tuesday, July 9, reveals that Gabi Hernandez DiMera (Cherie Jimenez) defended EJ DiMera’s (Dan Feuerriegel) public exposure since Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) deserved to know the truth about Jude Brady (Oliver McLarty).
Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash) argued that Gabi really just wanted to stick it to EJ, but Gabi insisted he got what he deserved.
Although Gabi hoped to go home and forget about this, Stefan insisted they couldn’t since Gabi had left him to deal with the fallout of her actions.
At the airport, Nicole DiMera (Arianne Zucker) explained the press conference story and revealed how Gabi had spilled Jude’s paternity.
Eric also learned how Sloan Petersen (Jessica Serfaty) altered all the DNA test results and that EJ kept quiet once he found out.
Nicole handed over Jude for a sweet father-son reunion before admitting EJ thought they’d reunite if they knew Eric was the father.
Eric realized he couldn’t take that job in Paris now, so he canceled his move and planned to stay in Salem.
At the DiMera mansion on Tuesday’s Days episode, Holly Jonas (Ashley Puzemis) overheard part of EJ’s outburst and wondered what was up.
EJ came clean about all the paternity drama, so Holly confessed to feeling confused.
Part of Holly was angry with EJ for the pain he caused Eric and Nicole, but another part of her couldn’t blame him since she’d been desperate enough to lie like that.
Stefan reconvened with EJ at one point and tried to explain how he didn’t mean for any of this to happen, but EJ argued that the damage was done and remained vengeful.
When Nicole came home later, EJ hoped they could talk things out. Instead, Nicole removed her wedding ring set and declared that she wanted a divorce.
Back with Eric, he ran into Gabi in the town square and thanked her for doing the right thing.
Gabi seemed proud of herself and admitted she owed Eric one since she withheld her bone marrow for Rachel Black (Finley Rose Slater) until she got an immunity deal.
Next on Tuesday’s DOOL show, Theresa Donovan (Emily O’Brien) and Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) waited for Tate Black (Leo Howard) at the townhouse, where Theresa ranted about Brady trying to convince Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson) she was a gold digger.
Brady came clean about his theory regarding the briefcase in Greece, but he ultimately apologized for speculating since Theresa claimed to be a woman of integrity now.
In the park, Tate gave Aaron Greene (Louis Tomeo) his driver’s license to serve as ID for lacrosse camp and said he told the DMV he lost it so that they’d send a new one.
Alex came along on Tuesday’s Days episode and claimed he knew what the boys were up to, so Tate and Aaron briefly panicked.
Fortunately, it was a false alarm since Alex just assumed Tate was hooking Aaron up with a fake ID. Alex had plenty of those when he was younger, so he vowed not to spill the news.
Once Tate made it back to the townhouse, he assured Brady and Theresa that they didn’t have to drive him to the airport.
Theresa insisted, but then Alex called her home to sign the prenup since the lawyers needed it done right away.
Brady wound up letting Aaron drive Tate, so everything worked out for Aaron to catch his flight to New York – leaving an excited Tate and Holly to plan their summer together.
Back at the townhouse on Tuesday’s Days episode, Brady was surprised when Eric showed up with Jude since he was supposed to be headed for Paris.
Eric said he thought Brady would want to meet his nephew and left Brady puzzled.
