Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Wednesday, August 14, reveals that Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart) wrapped up his weird bonding session with “Marlena Evans” aka Hattie Adams (Deidre Hall) and left Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) a long, rambling voicemail about Dr. Evans’ strange behavior.
Leo also ran into Xander Cook (Paul Telfer) and got updates on his earlier wedding, but Xander was stressed out over potentially missing the last ferry to Smith Island for their honeymoon.
Xander eventually got Maggie Kiriakis (Suzanne Rogers) on the phone and learned Sarah Horton-Cook (Linsey Godfrey) never made it to the mansion to look for the cabin key.
Since Xander suspected Sarah might’ve had car trouble, he went off searching for her.
Next on Wednesday’s Days episode, Fiona Cook (Serena Scott Thomas) jumped out of the car to investigate who she’d hit and was horrified when she saw unconscious Sarah on the ground.
Fiona found a pulse, but she still panicked and froze up over what to do. When Fiona heard Xander coming, she jumped back in the car and sped off.
Xander reeled at the sight of injured Sarah and rushed to her side. Once Xander fumed over hearing the hit-and-run driver peeling out, he got Sarah an ambulance.
Back in the car on Wednesday’s DOOL show, Fiona got Brady Black’s (Eric Martsolf) address off his driver’s license and parked in the parking garage.
Once Fiona got a call from a distraught Xander, she played dumb and rushed to the hospital – leaving Brady passed out drunk in the vehicle.
While Sarah was receiving emergency treatment, Xander summoned Maggie over the phone and hugged Fiona since he needed his “mum” right now.
Fiona acted like it was so awful for someone to drive away after hitting Sarah like that. Xander agreed and vowed to tear that driver limb from limb once he found out who it was.
At the pub on Wednesday’s Days episode, Leo was surprised to bump into Marlena in a new outfit.
Marlena had no recollection of snacking with Leo or watching TV with him, so he wondered why she was acting like this.
Leo eventually assumed Marlena didn’t want John Black (Drake Hogestyn) to know she was fraternizing with her patients, so he suggested it’d be their secret.
Afterward on Wednesday’s Days episode, Leo ran into Hattie in her usual flashy clothes, so his confusion grew – especially when he learned “Marlena” had a room upstairs.
Once Leo was alone, he settled on the idea that Marlena could have a split personality disorder.
In the parking garage again, Marlena and John noticed that Brady parked in Marlena’s space, but they went inside without seeing him passed out drunk inside the vehicle.
Back at the hospital, Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) revealed that the mystery woman was Abigail DiMera (AnnaLynne McCord) since the DNA results proved Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford) was her father.
Jack came rushing at Abigail for a hug, but she urged him to back off since everyone in Salem was still a stranger to her.
Abigail was tempted to go back to Poplar Bluff, but Chad pushed her to come home with him instead and shocked her with revelations about the kids.
Since Abigail didn’t want to traumatize the children or herself, Chad took her back to the DiMera mansion instead of the Horton house.
Abby struggled to make sense of all this, but she said she guessed Abigail was home.
Back with Jack, he called Jennifer Horton Deveraux (Cady McClain) with the amazing news about Abigail coming back to them.
