Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Wednesday, December 4, reveals that Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart) overheard Steven Olson (Stephen Schnetzer) talking to his grandparents’ plaque and related to the reformed path he was on.
Steven joined Leo for happy hour, so they spent some time bonding over their shady past – including their mutual dabbling in fenced jewelry.
At the Horton house on Wednesday’s Days episode, Jennifer Horton Deveraux (Melissa Reeves) and Marie Horton (Maree Cheatham) debated the missing diamond necklace situation with Lucas Horton (Bryan Dattilo) and Ciara Brady Weston (Victoria Konefal).
Lucas suggested that Steven might’ve stolen the jewelry – and Marie certainly believed that was possible considering his history of stealing diamonds.
When Ciara and Lucas confronted Steven in the town square, Steven had no idea about the missing necklace and swore he was innocent.
Lucas threatened to search Steven, who refused to allow it and stomped off.
Leo acted like Lucas and Ciara were hypocrites for jumping to conclusions about Steven.
That led to Leo’s reminders about Lucas kidnapping his ex-wife, Sami Brady (Alison Sweeney), and Ciara marrying Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) after all his fatal crimes.
In the cemetery on Wednesday’s Days episode, Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes) was confused over Doug Williams III (Peyton Meyer) claims about sharing a name with her husband.
Doug explained that he changed his name and that he was actually the son of Douglas “Dougie” LeClaire, who was conceived via artificial insemination and eventually went by the name Charles.
Since Doug III had recently been given a family history lesson, he found out Doug was his grandfather and wanted to pay his respects.
Doug admitted that he just got out of jail since he got into some trouble on the way to Salem.
However, Julie was unbothered as she hugged Doug and immediately latched onto him as family.
Although Doug planned to stay in a cheap motel, Julie insisted he would come stay at the Horton house instead.
Once Julie took Doug home with her, she introduced him to Jennifer and Marie.
Julie wanted to show Doug the time capsule and all the family treasures, but Jennifer suggested they’d already put it away for safekeeping.
Doug acted surprised over the time capsule news and asked questions about it while Julie was upstairs getting his guest bedroom ready.
Jennifer and Marie admitted that a valuable, sentimental necklace was missing, so Julie would be heartbroken if she found out before they could get it back.
Once Jennifer left to take Marie to the airport, Doug walked over to the nearby family photos and pulled the missing necklace out of his pocket.
It became obvious that Doug had stolen the necklace from the house earlier.
Upstairs on Wednesday’s Days episode, Steven climbed through the window again and admitted to Julie that it was time for him to go.
After Steven warned Julie not to believe everything she heard about him, he took off.
At the town house on Wednesday’s DOOL show, Shawn Brady (Brandon Beemer) gave Belle Black Brady (Martha Madison) some positive updates since Bo Brady (Peter Reckell) squeezed Hope Brady’s (Kristian Alfonso) hand.
The doctors couldn’t be sure of what that meant, but Hope was making positive predictions and feeling hopeful.
Belle wondered if Shawn would be able to let go of his guilt if Bo woke up, but Shawn didn’t seem so sure.
There was a lot they still didn’t know about what Bo’s recovery would look like.
Shawn suggested he was working on all that in therapy, but he was also starting to see that he couldn’t be the same man he was before.
Plus, Shawn didn’t think they could move beyond all the distance and trust issues, so he felt it was time to end their marriage.
Belle cried over still loving Shawn and got him to admit he still loved her, too.
Even so, it seemed like that just wasn’t enough, so Belle agreed to get the ball rolling on divorce papers.
Belle ultimately told Shawn to take care of himself and embraced him before he headed out the door.
Days of Our Lives spoilers say Shawn and Belle will have to figure out their own separate paths forward, so stay tuned.
