Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Wednesday, July 17, reveals that Theresa Donovan (Emily O’Brien) found Chanel DiMera (Raven Bowens) in the town square and begged her to make a second wedding cake for the double wedding.
Once Chanel agreed and worked out the details, she went inside Sweet Bits to see if they had all the necessary ingredients.
That gave Sophia Choi (Madelyn Kientz) a chance to approach Theresa, so they took turns trashing Holly Jonas (Ashley Puzemis).
When Theresa mentioned Tate Black (Leo Howard) being at lacrosse camp, Sophia flashed back to watching Tate with Holly and eavesdropping on their secret summer plan.
Sophia nearly spilled the beans, but she held off when she learned it was Theresa’s wedding day.
At the Horton cabin on Wednesday’s Days episode, Holly cuddled with Tate and played board games with him before a make-out session.
Suddenly, there was a knock at the door, so Holly hoped the person would go away if they ignored the arrival.
However, it turned out to be Sophia on the other side of the door – and she declared that Tate and Holly were so busted!
At the DiMera mansion on Wednesday’s DOOL show, Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) found EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) drinking and mulling over Nicole Walker’s (Arianne Zucker) petition of divorce.
Johnny ripped into EJ over his deception and pushed him to sign the papers, but he ultimately softened and let his dad know he’d always be there for him.
Although Johnny and Chanel didn’t plan to remain at the DiMera mansion forever, Johnny suggested they could stay longer for lonely EJ’s sake.
In Eric Brady’s (Greg Vaughan) room above the pub, Nicole quizzed him about whether he was still moving to Paris.
Eric admitted he’d been running from his pain, but now he had Jude Brady (Oliver McLarty) back.
Eric also saw no reason why he couldn’t have a fresh start in Salem – maybe even with Nicole.
After Nicole admitted she never got over Eric, she said she would’ve left EJ if she’d known Eric was her baby’s father.
Since Eric was on the same page about his feelings, he leaned in and nearly kissed Nicole.
Someone derailed the lip lock by showing up at the door – and it was revealed to be EJ.
Once EJ handed over the unsigned divorce papers, he warned that he wouldn’t just let Nicole and Eric ride off happily into the sunset with Jude.
At the Kiriakis mansion on Wednesday’s Days episode, Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson) shocked Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) by admitting that he was marrying Theresa today.
Brady got updates on the double wedding with Xander Cook (Paul Telfer) and Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey), so he struggled to wrap his head around the news.
Although Brady suggested maybe he shouldn’t attend the ceremony, he had a change of heart since Alex was family.
Brady wasn’t so sure Theresa would be happy about his attendance, but she returned home and insisted she wanted him there.
Once Alex stepped out on Wednesday’s Days episode, Theresa got choked up and was sorry things didn’t work out in her relationship with Brady.
Nevertheless, Theresa assured Brady that he’d always be special to her, especially since he was Tate’s dad.
Theresa suddenly realized Tate was supposedly at lacrosse camp, so she panicked since she wanted him at her wedding.
