Days of Our Lives Wednesday, July 3 Recap: Bobby’s Fatal Mystery Rocks Jada – Chad Requests to Exhume Abby’s Body

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Wednesday, July 3, reveals that Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) was driving himself crazy staring at the mystery woman (AnnaLynne McCord) footage and waiting for updates from the technician.

Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes) ultimately pushed Chad to talk to Kayla Johnson (Mary Beth Evans) and get some answers about Abigail DiMera’s (last played by Marci Miller) since Kayla was the last one to see her alive.

In Kayla’s office, Chad asked to keep this between them and showed her the footage after explaining everything.

Kayla understood why Chad couldn’t dismiss Clyde Weston’s (James Read) claims and agreed with Chad about miracles being very possible in Salem.

Since she was keeping an open mind, Kayla acknowledged that there were drugs that could help mimic death.

That said, Kayla also knew that Abigail’s body was sent to the morgue and that a full autopsy wasn’t performed.

After Kayla talked about the embalming and all the preparations that would’ve had to be made at the funeral home, she said there was only one way to know for sure if any of that really happened.

At home, Paulina Price (Jackée Harry) was with Abe Carver (James Reynolds) when he tried to watch Body and Soul.

Abe was confused since it wasn’t on at its regular time, but he ultimately assumed it had been preempted for Fourth of July news coverage.

Later, Kate Roberts Brady (Lauren Koslow) revealed that it had been canceled instead, but she suggested they should try to get the rights to Body and Soul since that’d be easier than starting a soap from scratch.

After Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein) convinced Jada Hunter (Elia Cantu) to speak with Robert “Bobby” Stein aka Everett Lynch (Blake Berris) at Bayview, she met up with Paulina for a PR strategy session.

In the town square on Wednesday’s Days episode, Stephanie admitted there was new backlash since Paulina fired Melinda Trask (Tina Huang) and replaced her with EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) again.

Stephanie explained that people were upset about Paulina getting rid of a woman of color for a rich white man, but Paulina argued that Melinda was accused of helping steal a baby!

Plus, EJ’s conflict of interest had been resolved, so Stephanie felt Paulina should lean into the changes by playing up EJ as the best person for the DA job.

With that in mind, they needed to highlight EJ’s handling of Gabi Hernandez DiMera’s (Cherie Jimenez) case and make him look heroic, so there was some talk about a press conference.

Once Paulina was alone, Chad showed up looking for a favor and hinted about being desperate.

Paulina urged Chad to go ahead and ask, so he admitted he wanted her permission to exhume Abigail’s body.

At Bayview on Wednesday’s Days episode, Bobby hid his medication instead of taking it and was pleasantly surprised when Jada arrived.

Although Bobby hoped they could get back together, he quickly realized Jada just wanted him to let Everett out.

Bobby ripped into Jada before things took an intriguing turn. After Bobby hinted about being able to help Jada solve a crime, she wondered if this was a crime he committed.

Bobby was cagey about the details, but he did admit this involved solving a murder.

Jada pushed for answers about who the victim was, but Bobby told her to come back tomorrow so they could talk more and seemed pleased with himself.

At Marlena Evans’ (Deidre Hall) townhouse on Wednesday’s DOOL show, Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) paid her a visit and opened up about his legal situation.

Although Jada didn’t buy Steve’s story, he assured Marlena that she had no evidence.

Steve didn’t want Marlena buying any bluff Jada might make since he intended to keep John Black (Drake Hogestyn) and Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) out of this.

Marlena talked about John’s trip to Greece taking longer than she thought and suggested his texts to her were terse.

It left Marlena worried that John was avoiding coming home because he was afraid that he’d try to hurt Steve.

Steve found out about John’s programming being triggered again – though he didn’t go through with pulling the trigger.

Although Steve wanted to go to Greece himself and help John handle his issues, Marlena said Steve couldn’t violate his bail.

Once Justin Kiriakis (Wally Kurth) got in touch and confirmed the plea deal on Wednesday’s Days episode, Steve told Marlena that he got a suspended sentence and 100 hours of community service.

That meant Steve could indeed leave town, so he later told Kayla the good news about avoiding prison and revealed his Greece trip plans.

Days of Our Lives spoilers say Steve should have some surprises waiting for him in Greece, so stick with us for more predictions on all the unraveling mysteries.
