Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Wednesday, November 27, reveals that Chanel Dupree DiMera (Raven Bowens) bickered with Paulina Price (Jackée Harry) on Thanksgiving in Salem. Although Paulina still wasn’t pleased over the way Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) treated her daughter, Chanel was ready to move past all the drama.
Since Chanel assumed Johnny didn’t cheat, she suggested it wasn’t like anything bad happened beyond Johnny’s one lapse in judgment.
In the town square on Wednesday’s Days episode, Johnny ran into Joy Wesley (AlexAnn Hopkins) and joined her at a table.
Joy admitted she’d told someone about their hookup and ultimately admitted it was Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson), so Johnny flipped out.
Johnny reminded Joy that she was the one who was most concerned about the secret spilling, but Joy said she needed someone to talk to.
After Joy insisted Alex would keep quiet, Johnny nervously said he hoped she was right.
When Chanel popped up, she wondered what Johnny and Joy were talking about.
After Joy and Johnny lied that they were discussing the tainted cupcake culprit getting caught, Chanel was satisfied with that explanation.
Once Chanel realized Joy was going to be alone on Thanksgiving, she invited her over to the DiMera mansion to celebrate and wouldn’t take no for an answer.
Meanwhile, Gabi Hernandez (Cherie Jimenez) showed up at the DiMera estate to collect her remaining belongings, but EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) wanted an apology first.
In fact, EJ wanted two since Gabi wrongfully accused him of her marriage destruction AND slapped him.
Gabi argued that EJ should be groveling to her instead and expected him to apologize once she came back downstairs with her stuff.
Of course, neither one of them wound up apologizing in the end, so Gabi stormed out.
Next on Wednesday’s Days episode, Chanel and Johnny brought Joy home with them.
EJ said this was unexpected, but Chanel reminded him that no one should be alone on Thanksgiving.
In the living room, EJ privately poured Joy a drink and admitted he knew what happened with Johnny.
As a result, EJ also knew that the guilt was eating away at his son, so he thought it was best if Joy left Salem.
Joy protested since she had a new job and had just signed a Body & Soul contract.
EJ assured Joy that he’d buy that contact out and find a legal strategy for her to breach it.
EJ also told Joy that he’d pay her handsomely to go and that she’d want for nothing.
Johnny and Chanel popped up wondering if everything was all right, so EJ said he was just getting better acquainted with Joy.
After EJ suggested heading into the dining room for dinner, he grabbed Joy’s arm to force another private moment and once again stressed the importance of leaving Salem.
EJ said if Joy was smart, she’d take this deal and that everyone would be better off – including her.
Outside the Brady pub, Javi Hernandez (Al Calderon) bumped into Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart) and still wasn’t interested in accepting his apology.
Once Javi told Leo have a nice life, he stomped off.
Alex ran into Leo next and heard all about his love life problems.
Although Leo couldn’t fix things with Javi, Alex pushed him to find out who the Lady Whistleblower impersonator was and at least save the show from being ruined.
At the Hernandez house on Wednesday’s DOOL show, Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) told Javi and Jada Hunter (Elia Cantu) about his new job.
After talking to Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols), Rafe said he was putting his old PI experience to good use and was Black Patch’s newest field operative.
Javi was reminded of a telenovela he liked where the guy and the girl clashed due to their conflicting careers in PI work and law enforcement.
It ended in disastrous news, but Rafe and Jada didn’t seem concerned over Javi’s predictions.
After Gabi came home on Wednesday’s Days episode, Leo showed up next. Javi answered the door and tried to send Leo away, but Leo came inside since he needed to see Rafe.
Leo mentioned that he got updates on Rafe working for Black Patch, so he wanted to hire him to find out who the new Lady Whistleblower was.
