Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Wednesday, October 23, reveals that Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) showed up on the Body & Soul hospital set to film Charlemagne’s final scene and gave Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) a cupcake for his birthday.
Johnny seemed upset over the reminder of Chanel DiMera (Raven Bowens) since the cupcake was from Sweet Bits, but he tried to convince a suspicious Marlena that he was just exhausted.
Johnny also hinted about Hattie Adams’ (Deidre Hall) curse potentially coming true, so he remained down in the dumps over Chanel’s betrayal.
At Alex Kiriakis’ (Robert Scott Wilson) place on Wednesday’s Days episode, he opened the door to Chanel and assured her that Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein) wasn’t there this time. Alex wasn’t sure where things stood with Stephanie, so Chanel pushed him to talk to her.
Chanel also asked Alex to pick up Johnny’s birthday cake from Sweet Bits, so he assured her that he had it covered.
In the town square on Wednesday’s Days episode, Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart) gave Stephanie and Paulina Price (Jackee Harry) updates on Alex sleeping with one of his co-stars on set. The news came from a reliable source, so Leo was certain of the scandal that needed to be handled.
Stephanie panicked and later told Alex that they shouldn’t sleep together ever again, so he vowed to respect her wishes despite looking glum.
At the Body & Soul office on Wednesday’s DOOL show, Bonnie Kiriakis (Judi Evans) played up how perfect Joy Wesley (AlexAnn Hopkins) would be for the part of Regan Holloway, Arrow and Faith’s interloper.
Abe Carver (James Reynolds) agreed to let Joy audition and was impressed over the confrontation scene she acted out with Chanel – though he still needed to see the other candidates before he made a final decision,
Back at the Salem Inn, Alex faced Nancy Miller’s (Patrika Darbo) questions about who she’d been with last night, especially after Nancy found a wedding band that’d been left behind.
At the hospital on Wednesday’s Days episode, Stephanie spoke to a confused Seth Burns (Bruce Beatty), who assumed she was playing Faith and wanted to run lines. Stephanie informed Seth that she wasn’t on the cast and kept trying to dodge moments alone with Alex.
Next on Wednesday’s DOOL show, Chanel confirmed Alex got the cake and that everything was all set for the birthday bash. Johnny wound up finding Chanel alone with Alex, who stepped out to make sure everyone was in place for the big surprise.
Johnny demanded to know what Chanel had been doing with Alex and suggested they’d probably slept together again since they liked it so much the first time.
Chanel was confused, so Johnny finally blew his top over Chanel hooking up with Alex and said he saw it for himself. Although Chanel denied it, Johnny pushed her to stop lying and called her attention to her cover-up when she went to Alex’s apartment.
Chanel tried to explain and said it wasn’t what Johnny thought, but he declared she was a “cheating slut” before storming out. Johnny ultimately walked into his surprise party, so Alex praised Chanel for putting it all together and left Johnny looking baffled.
