The land of primetime television can be a revolving door: one person leaves a show, and another comes in.
Much to many fans’ surprise, Deadline recently reported that actor Luke Kleintank was leaving FBI International after its May 7th episode, and Chicago Med alum Colin Donnell will join the cast.
As per People, Donnell is set to appear in Season 3’s last two episodes. As of this writing, there is no further information on what Donnell’s role will be. It’s also unclear if he’ll become a permanent part of the cast; however, it doesn’t feel like his entry on the show is coincidental.
Colin Donnell Joins FBI: International
With his work on Chicago Med, Donnell knows the Dick Wolf universe well. He played Dr. Connor Rhodes on the NBC drama for four seasons, officially exiting during the Season 5 premiere back in 2019. He’s also been in Arrow, Peacock’s The Irreverent, Pan Am, and The Affair; just to name a few past projects.
As FBI: International’s season finale airs on May 21, Colin Donnell will debut on the show on May 14.
Luke Kleintank Bids Adieu To FBI: International
Kleintank has been with FBI: International since the show began, playing Scott Forrester. He released a statement regarding his exit, noting, “After much thought and consideration, I’ve made the difficult decision to leave FBI: International. This decision is driven by my unwavering commitment to my family, whose love and well-being are paramount in my life.
I’m profoundly thankful for the extraordinary cast and crew of the show, who have not only been colleagues but also a family away from home.
