In tonight’s FBI International episode, Special Agent Amanda Tate was often juggling work with raising her daughter. She shares custody with her ex.

e was a kind of a jerk and he likes using her career against her. He tried getting full custody once. He did it as a means of controlling Tate.

Only she fought him in court. They were back to sharing custody. Tate no longer wants her ex to know when she has to drop off their daughter with her friend.

She didn’t want that to be used against her as well and so she quietly offloaded Lilli on Vo so that she could accept a new assignment. The flyteam had to travel with Madrid, Spain. They were brought in because the American government believes DEA Agent Daniel Lopez was dirty.

There’s always been rumors of course. Missing drugs. Missing cartel money. There was no credible evidence until another DEA Agent brought the case to their boss’s attention.

Christina Bryant was about to file an official report and she gets murdered the day she was supposed to come in.

It was too much of a coincidence to be ignored. Hence they brought in the flyteam. Wes was informed of the suspicions. He also came up with a plan to get close to Lopez. He was going to use Tate as a honeytrap.

Tate traveled with her team. They quickly met Lopez and his partner. Officially, the FBI flyteam was there to help question a big-time drug dealer that Lopez arrested.

The whole team also made it appear as if Tate was at the bottom of the food chain. She’s the one that grabbed tea. She helped them log into their computers.

They made it seem like Tate was keeping the lines on and with little too no reward for doing her job. This came in handy when they failed to plant listening devices in the DEA office.

Lopez apparently had a wifi detector that would have told him if there were bugs in the room. The flyteam had to remove everything.

They did it in a short amount of time and Tate was still cleaning up when Lopez came back. He saw Tate. She claimed that she was doing extra work to get notice. He felt for her.

He invited her out for drinks and she made sure she was wearing a wire before they met up. They met at a bar. He pretended to introduce her to his CI.

Only the guy was saying everything Lopez wanted him to say. He wasn’t a real criminal informant. Lopez was also being very flirty with Tate.

There were rules in place about what’s allowable for a honeytrap. She couldn’t kiss much less hug her suspect. Or else he could use it court and get the whole case file thrown out. Tate had to a walk a fine line between flirty and just friends. She was doing well with Lopez when

Wes pulled her out. He didn’t think she was going anywhere with Lopez. He also found Lopez’s real CI. The CI’s name is Jose “Conejos” Ramos. He helped Lopez make his latest arrest. He arrested Alvaro Serrano. He was a son of the Serrano cartel.

His arrest was a big deal. It could make Lopez’s career. Yet, Lopez didn’t seem interested in spinning into a bigger arrest. He has Alvaro. He has a real CI. He was dragging his feet and one of the reasons he invited Tate out for drinks was because he suspected the FBI were looking into him.

She managed to pretend she didn’t know what Wes was up to. She did admit that Wes was being secretive. She said something about this case in Madrid felt different and then she got pulled out by Wes.

They made it seem like she got jealous when another woman paid Lopez attention. Then the feds went on to find Ramos. They brought him for questioning. They got Ramos to admit he wasn’t really informing on his friends. The cartel was working hand in hand with Lopez.

Lopez was spooked after he heard Ramos was brought in. He left the office. He contacted a lawyer friend who worked for the cartel. Tate was sent to his apartment to plant a listening device. It was a better device than their previous one. And it wouldn’t be detected by Lopez’s scanner.

Tate flirted with Lopez. She told him that he was under investigation. She said Wes had found Christina Bryant’s files and he was moving in on a cartel stash house. It was a fake stash house. Which Lopez realized when he spoke to his cartel buddies.

Tate was still in his apartment at the time. Lopez knew she betrayed him and he was going to kill her when the FBI raided his home. They arrested him. They caught his entire conversation with the cartel. They heard him put a hit on Wes’s head. They had enough to send him to prison for life.

They also weren’t going to let him murder one of their own. Tate was safe, but she broke one of the rules. She kissed Lopez on the cheek. It was still a kiss and it might get used against her. The conversation they caught on tape wouldn’t be enough. And so they turned Lopez’s partner against him.

They got credible evidence that Lopez put out a hit on Bryant and Tate had to rub salt in the wounds. She later visited Lopez while he was locked up. She goaded him. She made him see that he wasn’t getting out of jail and so he agreed to take a plea deal back in the states.

THE END!
