In tonight’s FBI: Most Wanted episode, Hanah watched the Miss Glamour Globe this year. It was a beauty pageant with women all over the world. This time the winner was Miss Honduras.
She beat out Miss Philippines and was killed on the same night. She died on live tv. She had been poisoned by the sash she was given after she won. There was evidence of a nerve agent on that sash. It being a chemical weapon amplified this murder into a federal crime and so it was given to Remy’s team. They were looking for a killer. They instead found a bunch of catty beauty queens.
The other women all believe Miss Philippines was behind the murder. She was apparently the cattiest of the group. She started bragging about winning the coemption the second made into the top five and so everyone thought of her first when they learned the winner had been killed. Miss Philippines’s real name was Rosa Martinez.
She relied heavily on her backstory of growing up in a gang-scarred neighborhood and overcoming adversity to become a pageant queen. And so some of the other ladies were wondering if she still knew the gangers she grew up with.
The FBI went looking for Rosa. They found out she was scheduled on the next flight to Manila. She was also going with a guy that worked for the pageant. Its why she was so arrogant about winning.
She thought her friend in the pageant world would help her win. Only that never happened because her friend got fired for sexual harassment. The FBI caught to Geraldo on the road. He admitted that he was going to leave with Rosa only he said she never showed up at the lobby. The feds checked the beauty queen’s hotel room and it turns out Rosa had been killed.
Rose had been killed by the same nerve agent used in the first murder. The killer has now killed two beauty queens and they made sure to wipe the security footage of the hotel. The feds didn’t have footage of anyone going onto Rosa’s floor, but they did see when she arrived via the employee’s entrance.
The killer was a woman. Remy recognized her without seeing her face. It was Annalise Neilson. She was Miss Norway. Her real name was Harper Dower and no one caught on that she was actually American.
Dower was born in America. She was raised in America. She moved to Norway for one month before she entered her first pageant there and won it. She probably could have won the Miss Glamour Globe as well if she truly wanted it. She didn’t because she was a spy. Dower killed Miss Honduras for being a dissident.
She was a loud opponent of the authoritarian president of her country. The same country known for killing their dissidents and so they made a very public example out of a beauty queen to frighten everyone else back in line.
Dower was only in the business as a contract killer because she has expensive taste. She loves couture. She gets all the latest bags. The best shoes. She even changed her appearances.
Things were different while her parents were alive. Back then she wanted to pursue the best life with a great degree. She got into law school. She was doing well until her parents died. They must have left her money because she went on a shopping spree right after that. She was considered best dress in her law class. And she had a bright future in front of her.
Dower did so well that her law professor tried to get her a great job at a good law firm. She had an interview with them that she blew off to go traveling around Europe.
She later said she fell in love. The professor didn’t care because she made him look bad. Dower didn’t mind losing that connection. She became a gun for hire thanks to her new boyfriend. She killed Miss Honduras for the Honduran president. She went on to kill a Vietnamese businessman for the Vietnamese government. And the man she fell in love with was a known assassin by the name of Adrian Dubois.
He has several alliances. No one knows his real name. They have grainy pictures of him. If Dower hadn’t posted photos with him at the start of the relationship, no one would know she learned from a pro.
He was the assassin. He taught her everything she knew. She realized she could make more with that job than being a lawyer and so she started killing people. She was still nearby the tristate area because she has one more person on her list. Dower charges a hefty price for each kill. She’s known for never breaking a contract.
They caught up to her right before she carried out the latest hit. Funny thing though, Dower claimed she turned the job down. She wasn’t going to murder the President of Venezuela.
She received a better offer from the CIA. They knew someone was going to assassinate the man and they can’t legally operate inside of the United States to save him. Which was why they hired Dower. They needed her to stop Dubois. Dubois took the contract to murder the president and the CIA hired Dower because she knows Dubois the best.
Not that she wanted to know him so well. Their relationship soured when she realized he was using her. She now hates him and she was the only one that can bring him down. She told Remy all about it when he caught her. She warned him that Dubois usually has an inside man on jobs like this. The FBI found out who the man was.
They got the president out of there before he was injured. They looked for Dubois. They later cornered him. He was given a choice. He could die in a shootout or turn himself in. He agreed to turn himself in.
Both Dubois and Dower were arrested. He was facing jail time. She on the other hand was handed over to the CIA and they were going to be releasing her back into the wild.
Hana also ended a relationship with Ethan once she found out he was addicted to prescription pills. She would normally would have seen the signs before now and so love really does make you blind.
