In tonight’s FBI episode, the FBI were alerted about an abduction. The abduction was of Matthew Sawyer. He runs a Migrant Center that was woefully underfunded and he was leaving when he got snatched right off the street. He was taken by gunpoint. The man that grabbed him was wearing a hoodie as well as a mask.

He forced Matthew into a car before driving off. The whole thing was witnessed by Matthew’s coworker. She called it in and it quickly got flagged up to the FBI because the Mayor demanded they call in the big guns. The whole migrant crisis doesn’t look good on the mayor or his campaign for reelection. And so the call to the FBI was to make it appear as if he was doing something.

The FBI thankfully still did their due diligence. They even identified a chief suspect right away. His name was James Dunn and he was former military when he got dishonorably discharged. He’s been stalking Matthew for months. He brandished a weapon. He made hateful and racist posts about the migrants.

He thought Matthew was contributing the downfall of white America. As he mentioned in several of those posts. He had a girlfriend that was killed during a robbery a couple of months back. She was murdered by undocumented migrants.

Dunn now blames all migrants for the murder. He especially holds hatred for Matthew for being a “race traitor”. Only Dunn didn’t abduct Matthew. The person that did that brought Matthew back to his home address. Both Matthew and his abductor were actually still there when the FBI stopped by.

The feds got shot at for getting too close and so they knew the abductor was harmed. They cordoned off the block. They tried to talk down this shooter before he hurt Matthew. They dropped off a phone on the mat at the front door.

The abductor used a different hostage to collect the phone. He was holding onto two people. Matthew and his pregnant wife. The abductor identified himself as Hector Ramirez.

He said he was going to kill Matthew if the feds didn’t find his daughter, Maria. Maria disappeared from Matthew’s migrant center a few days ago. Her father reported her missing. He believed Matthew was involved. Hector told the feds all about how Maria’s friend saw Matthew take her. And Hector wasn’t stupid about why his daughter was allowed to disappear.

They entered the country a month ago. Hector was former police in Mexico. He tried to take a stand against the cartels and they sent his wife’s head to him in a box. If those people had been involved, they would have already have sent pieces of Maria to him. Hector believes Maria’s friend. The feds later talked to this friend.

She told them all about how Matthew used to give Maria treats. Their migrant center constantly ran out of water and food. Maria never missed anything. She got candy. She got food whenever she wanted.

Unfortunately, the friend was wrong about Matthew. They tracked down the store where Maria was getting all these treats and there was a video of her with someone that looks like Matthew.

It just wasn’t Matthew. It was an unidentified white man. He didn’t speak Spanish. Maria didn’t speak English. The store clerk thought it was weird and he’s kicking himself now about not calling the cops when he saw the two together. And so there’s a chance that Matthew had no idea who Maria was before her father pointed a gun in his face.

It was still odd that a stranger was able to get near an immigrant child without anyone noticing. Her father was working to try and get them out of the migrant center. It was up to the staff to protect her.

They typically only allowed people with badges into the center. Meaning that Maria’s abductor worked for the city. He worked at that migrant center. The feds got the camera footage and they ran it against everyone that worked at the center. They identified their perp as Jared Gamble. He last reported to work on the day Maria went missing.

They tried to tell Hector that he was wrong about Matthew. He heard them only he refused to let go of the hostages because he said his daughter would stay missing if he wasn’t putting the pressure on them. Maggie was worried about Matthew’s wife. The woman’s health wasn’t the best. She was having a difficult pregnancy.

She could potentially lose her child if she gets too stressed and so Maggie agreed to an exchange. Hector willing gave away his two hostages in exchange for Maggie now becoming his hostage.

Hector also gave the feds a deadline. He said if they didn’t find his daughter in thirty minutes that he would kill Maggie. Hector really wasn’t a dumb guy. He knew his situation was untenable.

He had to force the feds to find Maria before they breach the house. Or else Maria and other girls will be allowed to disappear. Maria was taken by a known sex offender. Gamble should never have been allowed around children. He was sent there by a third party contractor. He got close to Maria. He abducted her and sadly he too was armed.

Gamble was spotted by the feds. He shot at them. He made a run for it and Maria wasn’t with him. Gamble forced the feds into killing him because he refused to turn himself. He claimed he couldn’t help taking Maria. He was “sick”. Scola tried to tell him that it was just a mistake and Gamble must have realized his only way out was death.

He forced Scola to kill him. He was now dead. Maria was still missing. She wasn’t in his car or the trunk. She wasn’t at his apartment. There’s a chance that Gamble might have killed her after assaulting her.

Gamble had a grandmother in a nursing home. Her house was empty. The feds went there hoping to find Maria and they tried to buy some more time with Hector in the meantime.

Hector didn’t want to wait. He thought they were lying about Gamble being dead. He almost killed Maggie. She fought him off. OA entered the building. They were in a standoff when OA’s phone rang. They found Maria alive. They put her on the phone with her father and her father finally gave himself up. He didn’t care about going to jail. He was just glad Maria was found alive.

Gamble didn’t hurt Maria. He was going to, but he never got the chance and now Maria was going to stay with family.

It’s strange only the whole thing made Maggie realize how much she wants a child of her own.

THE END!
