In tonight’s FBI episode, the victim was James Sun. He was in the army. He was shot on federal property and that meant his murder became a federal investigation. However, James wasn’t some innocent bystander that got shot by accident. He was selling explosives out of the trunk of his car.

He became bitter with the military after he was passed over for promotion. He then decided to retire early and he stole from the Ammunition regiment to sell to criminals. James got shot because the other guy didn’t want to pay him ten grand for a bomb. They were sure it was a bomb because their bomb sniffing dog detected it at the crime scene. And James was a horrible guy that deserved to get double-crossed.

The FBI still had to investigate his murder because they now know a bomb is at play. They didn’t know if it was stolen for terrorism or just to scare people.

They had to go looking for it all the same. They eventually found out that James was in contact with known felon, Clinton Payne. Payne was the one that shot him. He has a long rap sheet. He was still out on probation for armed robbery. This gave them the means to search his home without a warrant. They found the bomb. They also later found Payne.

Payne was arrested. He demanded a deal before he talked. The most Isobel could offer him was a kind word to the judge. He did commit murder and robbery. He was supposed to pay James ten grand for the bomb. He double-crossed him because he himself hadn’t earned his own payday.

Payne met someone in a chat room looking for a bomb. Something big enough to take down a city block according to what they said in the chatroom. Payne has never met this person or heard their actual voice. He robbed James because he wanted this mystery person to pay him twenty grand.

For all Payne knew, he would have gotten double-crossed after killing James. Payne later accessed the chatroom for the FBI. They looked into it and they tied the account to Al-Shabaab. It was the terrorist group out of Somalia. They recently also killed one of the FBI’s own.

They killed Special Agent Hobbs. Hobbs was undercover with Tiffany. She pushed him into getting up close with a suspect. The suspect figured out he was a cop. He shot Hobbs and escaped before Tiffany could do anything.

Tiffany caught up with this man a second time. He managed to escape then too by using civilians as hostages. Tiffany has been looking for Hakim ever since. Their intel had said he left the country. He returned to Africa. When Tiffany heard Al-Shabaab was still trying to get a bomb, she was hoping to use the information they have on Amida to get Hakim.

She was that serious about waning justice for Hobbs. Her bosses on the other hand didn’t think they’d get Hakim. They also knew that none of Al-Shabab have ever flipped and so they were focusing on what was in front of them. And that was Amida.

Amida was the imminent danger. He’s the one that demanded a bomb. Tiffany was told to go with Scola and to arrest Amida. Those were direct orders. She ignored that because of something Amida said during the buy. They went to sell him the bomb. They got Amida to show them the money.

They had enough to arrest him only Tiffany began asking him about his plans with the bomb. Amida claimed his boss was interested in it. Tiffany then decided not to arrest Amida. Scola backed her up because that’s his partner and so he had to defend her with Maggie and OA.

They were all told their orders. Tiffany blatantly ignored them. She instead followed Amida after the buyout hoping he would lead her to Hakim. She explained to Maggie and OA that Amida spoke of a boss. She said that boss has to be Hakim. The others weren’t sure about that. Neither was Scola.

They made their excuses to Isobel and they kept eyes on Amida. They followed Amida to a strip club. They paid attention to anyone else going in and Tiffany later swore she saw Hakim go into the building. She was prepared to storm in. Scola stopped her.

He followed her this far. He couldn’t let her blow their objective. They can still arrest Amida. He was the danger and so they couldn’t risk blowing their cover with him. Maggie and OA went into the club. They weren’t sure if they saw Hakim. He might still be in Africa. Only they couldn’t go after Hakim or the possible man.

They still have to arrest Amida because going after Hakim might mean that Amida gets away. Tiffany couldn’t deal with that. She was talking about getting justice for her friend when the truth is she barely knew Hobbs. They knew each other for a couple of hours. Then he died.

Tiffany blames herself for what happened to Hobbs. She pushed him. He died and now she wants revenge. She’s claiming she’s justice, but she’s not fooling anyone. She later went into the strip club.

She didn’t care that it would blow her cover with Amida. She didn’t even try to avoid him. She went right up to question him about Hakim. Amida tried to run. He shot up the strip club. He escaped in the chaos. He took a woman hostage and stole her car. The agents saw the license plate and followed it using street cameras.

Tiffany and Scola caught up to the car. They were there when Amida crashed. Amida was threatening to kill the hostage when Tiffany agreed to let him get away with their car.

It was a ploy to get him away from the hostage. There was a struggle. They were forced to shoot Amida. He died without ever revealing Hakim’s whereabouts. His last words to Tiffany were “go to hell”. Tiffany got in trouble. What saved her was the intel that Hakim had reentered the country some time the week before.

Tiffany then visited Hobb’s widow. She’s been practically stalking this woman. She’s been calling her and texting her. This woman has been doing her best to move on with her life only Tiffany just didn’t want that to be. She wanted to someone to be as angry about Hobbs’s murder as she was. And she might be put on leave after this.

THE END!
