In tonight’s FBI episode, everyone was worried about Maggie. She didn’t take bereavement leave. She wasn’t talking about Jessica with anyone. She had also become the primary guardian of a little girl. She was getting along and not really facing what happened. They all saw what that did to Tiffany. They weren’t looking for a repeat with Maggie.

OA was naturally Maggie’s biggest defender. He thinks she can push through the pain. He might secretly believe differently, but he wasn’t going to rat her out with Isobel or Jubal. He defended Maggie and he pretended that he would report something if Maggie started to fall apart. And then they caught a case.

Will Douglas was killed when he went to defend a woman being attacked in her apartment. The woman as well as her attacker were missing after their altercation and after the man killed Will.

Will was a federal employee. He was a security guard at FDIC’s offices. His death was a federal crime. The FBI were brought in to find out what happened. Will wasn’t even supposed to be in that building. He met a woman on a dating app. He agreed to walk her to her door because the security door on her apartment building had been busted.

The date wasn’t going well. He was trying to save it by being a gentleman. That’s when he heard her neighbor’s screams and he took out his gun to go defend a stranger.

Will was killed the moment he tried to intervene. The killer got away with the pregnant woman. She was taken against her will. The FBI asked Will’s date about this neighbor. She said that her name was Denise Parker. She was eight months pregnant. There was a Latino guy that came around with gifts every once in a while. The Latino guy was Arturo.

Arturo was only a delivery guy. He does tasks for money. He doesn’t have a relationship with Denise. He was just given tasks and was paid for them by checking up on her.

Arturo gave the man’s contact information. The FBI went to this man’s home where they found him tied up with his wife and the housekeeper. Denise was their surrogate. Someone forced the housekeeper into allowing them into the house. They then demanded to know where Denise was. They threatened to kill them and the couple talked.

They gave up Denise’s location. Denise wasn’t even her real name. This unknown woman stole the identity of a dead senior and then she agreed to become a surrogate to make rent.

She was staying under the radar when the couple she was helping posted a photo of her on their social media. That’s how her kidnapper found her. Denise or whatever her name is was running from something.

They tracked down the man that abducted her and identified him as Travis Keating. He fell apart after his mom died. He was living on the streets and he was self-medicating.

Somehow, he got clean. He found God or to better phrase it a cult. He borrowed his father’s van and he abducted Denise. The feds caught up to him after a shootout. He was taken alive.

He was questioned. He said Denise was where she belongs. She was going to be “cleansed” of her sin. Her sin was the baby. The people that took her planned on killing her baby. Keating wouldn’t say anything else only he didn’t have to. They got a familial match for Denise’s DNA. Her real name was Denise Mamet. She was the daughter of Aaron Mamet.

Her father was the leader of a cult called “the Sacred Testament”. There was an active ATF investigation against him. They have a warrant for his arrest. They were merely waiting for him to leave the compound long enough to arrest him. They didn’t want to storm the compound because his followers were heavily armed.

There were plenty of women and children around. No one was looking for another Waco. They were going to wait for him to leave and the ATF Special Agent in Charge didn’t want to rush the place looking for Denise if they don’t have proof she’s there.

The FBI ultimately got Roberts to agree to a look see. The feds went onto the compound in a delivery truck. They snuck Maggie and OA into the building. They searched it for signs of Denise and eventually they found her. Denise was still alive. She was still pregnant. They hadn’t harmed her yet.

OA also found out that the cult was illegally turning AR-15s into automatic weapons. The ATF were right about them preparing for war. Mamet truly was crazy. He refused to let his daughter live her own life because he wants to claim ownership over her.

Denise was chained to the bed. OA left to get bolt cutters. Maggie stayed with Denise. She was seen by a little boy and that little boy reported her to a guard. The guard was killed.

People heard gunshots. They sounded the alarm. The men armed themselves. The women and children surrounded the men to act as human shields. There was no clear way to storm the property. Scola managed to get to Maggie and they were locked in a room with Denise. They were running out of time because the men were trying to get into that room.

That’s when Mamet was sighted. Mamet tried to escape the compound through a secret tunnel. OA went after him and he injured him. He told Mamet he would watch him die if he didn’t call his people off.

Mamet believed him. He told his people to stand down. They put down their weapons and peacefully surrendered when SWAT stormed the compound. Mamet was arrested. Denise was taken to a hospital. And Maggie realized she had a near miss because her bullet proof vest caught a bullet that was meant to kill her.

Maggie finally realized that her possible death has consequences. She couldn’t afford to let down Ella. Ella has already lost her mom. If she loses Maggie too, she will have to start all over again with someone else. And Maggie didn’t want to do that to a child.

OA later asked Isobel to forcibly make Maggie take time off. She needed it. Ella needed it. They have to put Ella first now.

THE END!
