The CBS network recently announced premiere dates for various shows within their 2024 fall schedule. FBI’s Season 7 has been confirmed, so read below to find out when your favorite drama is set to air.
FBI Season 7: An October Date Has Been Set
Some slightly bad news for FBI fans, as the network has announced that the series’ Season 7 won’t start until Tuesday, October 15 at 8 p.m. ET. After FBI’s Season 7 premiere show, FBI: International’s Season 4 will premiere at 9 p.m. ET, with FBI: Most Wanted, Season 6 premiering at 10 p.m. ET
So, what’s the reason behind the later premiere date for the FBI franchises (amongst other shows in the 2024 line-up)? It looks like CBS is hoping to not only use the fall NFL season to promote some of its series launches but also create fewer hiatuses during the fall schedule, which means fewer repeats as the season progresses. It’s always better when new content is aired consecutively, versus breaks needing to take place.
FBI Season 7: What Should Fans Expect?
CBS hasn’t revealed much about what is set to unfold during FBI, Season 7. No promo preview video has been released as of yet; however, one thing fans can anticipate is minimal to no changes to the main cast, as nothing has been announced in this regard.
Still, due to budget cuts, reports reveal CBS has reduced the number of episodes each actor can appear in, to lower payouts. Each main character will be seen two episodes less, each season.
Still, a silver lining in all this is that FBI wasn’t only renewed for Season 7, as CBS has ordered the flagship series in the franchise for Season 8 and 9, too.
While it’s hard to know exactly what fans should anticipate come the fall of 2024, it’ll likely continue to feature a “case of the week” format viewers have grown accustomed to, as the FBI agents within New York City aim to bring justice to any bad guys threatening the Big Apple.
