Vince Leone was now the one in jail. It happened after he went on a date with his wife. They were reconnecting after Sharon had been away for a few months and then this guy walks in. His name is Liam. Liam was Irish. He came to their neck of the woods because he has feelings for Sharon. Vince’s wife. Sharon and Liam had bonded while they were working together cutting lines. Sharon had revealed her marriage was in trouble, but she never acted on her bond with Liam. Liam then tracks her down. He was looking to make a grand romantic gesture and he mocked the fact that she was still married. Liam was making snide comments when Vince took a swing at him.

Their fight landed them in jail for a night. Sharon bailed Vince out the next morning. She talked to her husband. She explained to him that all she did with Liam was talk. They worked. They got to talking and that was it. They didn’t kiss or sleep together. She didn’t have an affair. She doesn’t know why Liam was believing it was more than it was. Only his response was not on her. He took their friendship the wrong way. Liam read more into her struggle than she did and so she left him in jail after she bailed out her husband.

The downside however was now the whole town knows. They were all giving Sharon the stink eye. The only one that didn’t judge her was Manny and that’s because he’s a true friend. He even broke the news to Bode. Bode didn’t like hearing that his father spent the night in jail. He blames himself. He thought that if he had never gone back to prison that maybe his parents wouldn’t be struggling so much. Sharon took the job at the Fire Camp to take a moment for herself after Bode went back to prison. Bode felt like he left a path of destruction in his wake wherever he goes.

Bode couldn’t wait to get called out with the rest of Three Rock. Eve was now in charge. She replaced Manny and the inmates preferred him over her. They especially didn’t like that Eve was the first female captain of the prisoner fire program. They were making things hard on her. Eve told Bode not to add to her stress. She was given the job to stop people from making mistakes and that included Bode. Bode was like a cowboy out of the wild wild west during Manny tenure. His parents don’t have any more favors to trade after that. And so Eve needs to run a tight ship.

Eve did everything possible to ensure the program didn’t get shut down. The prisoners didn’t appreciate that. They mocked her to her face. They called her stuck up for staying in her office all day. Eve gave back as good as she got. She told them how she saved the program from being a dumpster fire. Manny had overheard her. They were all called out to a fire that spreading fast. Eve was wrangling the prisoners. Manny was doing his new job since his demotion. He overheard her. He took offence and he later had it out with her.

You know things are bad when Bode was the one saying this was not the time for it. Eve and Manny were so busy arguing that one of her prisoners got injured cutting into the woods. He got a huge piece of wood protruding through one of his legs. Eve remembered he had just met his son earlier. She took charge. She made sure her prisoner got transferred to an ambulance and Manny backed her up. Manny reassured the prisoners that Eve has everything under control. They even started referring to her as cap now.

This wasn’t the only surprising part of a long night. Liam showed up to the fire. Liam was the drone operator. He was the only drone operator within miles of the fire and they needed him. Liam spotted Vince. They started mouthing off at each other. Liam was going to leave when Bode talked him into staying. Bode said that his mother was going to be driving into the fire and he didn’t want to risk her. Bode told Liam that he can’t break up this family. He can on the other hand keep his mom and Liam’s friend safe.

Liam became very important during the night. Sharon tried to clear out a neighborhood in direct path of the fire. They refused to leave. They said they had water and they would protect their properties. It seems that a fraction of the community felt that CalFire prioritize the rich as well as their mansions. Those on the lower pay grade couldn’t afford to let their homes burn. They tried to stay and the fire ultimately destroyed their vehicles to escape. Thirteen people had to load into one fire truck. Jake and Gabriela had to ride on the roof to make room for everyone.

Vince working Liam helped Sharon get far away from the fire as possible. Bode started helping too. They all got her to the safe zone. Jake and Gabriela were alright. Everyone was saved. Its just that next time evacuate when you’re told to evacuate. Afterwards, Liam met with Sharon for drinks. Sharon told Liam that she loves Vince. She’s working on her marriage. She’s not going to blow it up for him. Liam was in love with her. She simply doesn’t love him back. Liam later left town and Jake ended up telling Eve about Genieve.

Eve thought Bode has been acting differently and so Jake told her why.

Genieve hasn’t asked for a paternity test yet. Bode was disappointed, but he at least talked to Gabriela tonight and they cleared the air. Gabriela has been angry with him since he ghosted her. She needed to let go some of that anger. And she was finally able to do that tonight.

THE END
