In tonight’s Fire Country episode, Bode was being transported to the hospital when there was an accident. The ambulance got flipped. They were all pushed off the side of the road by falling trees and everyone inside could die. This included both of Genieve’s parents.

Cara had been the nurse traveling with Bode. Them being trapped together helped Cara see that Bode deserves to be in their daughter’s life. She just wasn’t sure if they were going to make it long enough for that to count. Cara had been impaled when the ambulance flipped. The escorting prison guard had been killed outright. Diego was pinned by falling trees.

Bode was the least injured. Only he was still handcuffed to the gurney. Diego was able to reach the keys from the dead guard and he threw it in the back because he was too pinned to reach Bode. Cara reached for the keys. She came off the pipe impaling her. She was bleeding out.

She was downplaying it by saying it was a through and through. Diego was at least a qualified paramedic. He needed to see Cara. Bode got free of the gurney. He gave Cara some gauze to pack her wound. He went around the front to free Diego so that Diego could look at Cara.

They were working on that when the rest of the CalFire learned of a fire tornado. The winds blowing from the chemical plant had caught fire. The fire turned into a fire tornado. It was blowing towards town. It was even blowing towards the hospital. Jake was riding with the Leones and Gabriela.

They all had someone they love in an ambulance heading towards that hospital. They didn’t know that anyone was safe and so Jake came clean. Jake confessed that Bode might be Genieve’s father.

It freaked out Sharon. She remembered all the trouble her kids got into. She was now worried for her possible granddaughter and Vince was the opposite.

He was kinda happy about a possible grandchild. Sure, he would have liked to have known twelve years ago when Cara was pregnant. He just didn’t harp on that long because again he was happy. It was like a dream come true for him. It was a chance to love someone without constant worrying. The worrying was left for the parents. And now Jake who could become Genieve’s stepdad.

That is if Jake gets to propose to Cara like he planned. Cara lost consciousness for a few minutes. She checked her pupils with a light and her cell phone.

It wasn’t good. Signal was also down. There was no chance of calling for help. They couldn’t radio it in because no one was getting their messages. Cara desperately needs to go to the hospital. Her pupils were blown. It showed that she was bleeding on the brain. She can die if they don’t get her to a hospital. Bode freed Diego. Diego confirmed Cara’s diagnosis.

They needed to get her to the hospital. Cara was losing consciousness. Her heartbeat. She begged Bode to be there for Genieve if anything happens to her and he promised he would be. He also told her that she was going to be fine. Her only chance was the hospital.

Something that was impossible because unfortunately they learned about the fire tornado the hard way. They were five miles away from the hospital. Bode couldn’t walk it the whole way while carrying her. And they didn’t have the necessary tools to save her.

Eve meanwhile was facing mutiny. She was ready to send Cole back to prison. She and Manny were transferring the prisoners back to Three Rock when they came across the fire tornado. They took shelter at Murphy’s. They almost got shot by the owner who thought they were looters.

They then had to take control and get everyone to board up the windows because their shelter was their literal last stand. Eve almost got blown away by the tornado. Cole saved her life. She finally agreed to hear his story. He accidentally killed a guy because he shoved another parent at a basketball game.

The other parent had grabbed Cole’s son. Cole wasn’t going to let anyone put their hands on his kid. He confronted the guy. He lost his temper and he shoved him. He hit his head. He had some underlying health conditions and so he later died at the hospital. Cole then gets put away for murder.

It wasn’t the first time he lost his temper. He didn’t end up in the troublesome block because he didn’t learn to control his temper until he was in prison. He told Eve his story. She realized why the warden believed he deserved a second chance.

Eve wasn’t going to send him back to prison after that. She was going to write her own letter to the governor about why he deserves a second chance. She also won back the respect of her crew. They no longer wanted to mutiny. Everyone was okay. Cole injured his back while rescuing Eve.

Eve fixed him up. They headed back to Three Rock. The Leones also ended up saving a girls’ soccer team along with their coach. They finally heard back from Diego. Jake got to tell Cara he loved her right before she died.

Cara had a beautiful funeral. Bode even got to attend. Genieve lost practically her whole family. She lost her grandparents that raised her as her parents. She lost her bio mom that she knew as her sister. She leaned on Jake. Jake needed someone to be strong for after he lost Cara. And he’s the one that’s taking care of her right now.

And while Gabriella now understands Bode was talking about Genieve a few weeks back. She was still happy with Diego. She was going to stay at 42.

She was going to come home to Diego and so she spoke to Bode. She told him he’d make a great girldad. She was rooting for him. She hopes he’s Genieve’s father.

THE END!
