In tonight’s Fire Country episode, the Three Rock Conservation Camp has been around for years. It helps cons work off the rest of their sentence. They get to parole early if they do everything right and so it was a great program. They also were doing important work. They were fighting fires.

It’s not like CalFire has the budget to suddenly pay an additional team of twenty people to fight fires for them. Only the media weren’t showing that angle. They were still connecting the escaped prisoner with the sheriff dying. It was technically a dirty deputy that killed the sheriff and so Luke Leone was in town trying to put the community at ease.

He did that by taking away stuff. The prisoners were denied privileges. They couldn’t call anyone. They couldn’t receive visits from family. They also had to build a fence around their camp. They were doing well when suddenly protesters sprouted up. The protestors were being led by one man in particular.

The guy was all about shutting down the camp. He claimed they were a danger to the community. Nevermind that no one had ever broken out except for one guy who was already dying. This man didn’t hurt anyone. He also helped reveal the dirty cop and so he did the community a service.

None of that mattered to the protestors. They didn’t want to live within walking distance of “degenerates”. They wanted to shut down the camp and they were protesting outside of the camp.

They wanted the media to see them. Eve was supposed to do a story with a news anchor to help heal the rift with the community, but the protest became the story. It even got interesting. Somone drove through the protests and into the camp. They injured several people. They didn’t kill the main protestor because Manny was there to pull him out of the way.

The prisoners also raced to help people. The cameras caught them treating the victims. They also checked on the driver of that truck. The story had kinda gotten bigger than Luke wanted it to.

They were forced to call in for backup. This interrupted the Leones officially being appointed guardians for Genieve. Genieve had already had a tantrum. She locked herself in her room. Sharon stayed back to be with her. Vince and Jake answered the call. They were talking in the car and Jake feels like they rushed Genieve into this decision.

They sorta did. Bode had promised a dying Cara that he would take care of Genieve. He got his parents to help him with Genieve because he was still a prisoner. It just it taking a toll on her.

Genieve has gone through a lot of change in the last few months. She found out that the couple that raised her were in fact her grandparents. She went to go living with her sister that proved to be her biological mother. She was just getting used to that when her mother dies. Again. She was building a family with Jake and now Jake was avoiding her most of the time.

He’s the one she’s familiar with. He’s the one she trusts. Genieve doesn’t want to learn to love someone else when she could lose them too. Bode meanwhile was doing the work to get early release. He helped save the driver’s life when the wires the man drove into covered the ground. Bode helped Jake with the rescue.

He didn’t want to leave Jake to do it by himself because he didn’t want to risk the driver nor Gabriella who was trapped in the car with him. They then rescue everyone. The lights finally gets turned off.

Vince thinks its safe to pick up a hammer that was touching the car. Just when he touched it, that’s when the lights came back on and it shocked Vince. He flew several feet in the air. Gabriella kept him alive during the transport. He was rushed to the hospital. Sharon had to be notified.

She was helping Genieve talk through her emotions when she had to leave Jake in charge to go to the hospital. Sharon was there when Vince woke up. Vince has a burned hand. Which wasn’t much with all things considering.

Jake finally talked to Genieve. They both realize that she wants to live with him. Not with the Leones. Jake had to inform Bode and Bode had to realize that he keeps living his life for other people.

He didn’t take Genieve living with Jake well. She was his reason to stay clean. Like Gabriella was the reason before that. His parents being the reason before her too. He needed someone to be strong for. And he was left feeling lost after learning it wasn’t going to be Genieve.

Three Rock got amazing PR after the accident only it came too late. Luke got the order to shut down the camp and that’s that. He wasn’t going to fight for it. Not like Eve will. Or Manny will. Or even Vince will because Vince was lying about the severity of his injuries just to stay a firefighter. He wasn’t going to take that away from the prisoners.

THE END!
