General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that we’ve got some comings and goings news to pass along. For starters, the show has cast two new recurring roles, so let’s talk about some fresh faces who’ll be popping up soon.
Virginia Ma will make her first appearance as Madison on April 2, so look for her to share scenes with Nina Corinthos (Cynthia Watros) at Crimson.
Madison is Nina’s new assistant, so Nina will no doubt be bossing her around.
Kody Kavitha will also make her GH debut starting April 4 since she’s playing Hunter, the new manager of Bobbie’s.
Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) will trust Hunter to handle things since she’s busy dealing with Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) drama these days.
Cassandra James will also return as Terry Randolph during the week of April 1-5, so look for Terry to share scenes with Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) and dish out some good advice.
Next, we should mention a name change for anyone who might be puzzled about Valentin Cassadine’s (James Patrick Stuart) partner in crime at Pikeman and what he currently goes by.
Charles Mesure’s character was previously called John Brennan, but Valentin repeatedly referred to him as “Jack” in the March 29 episode.
Valentin said it so many times that it was comical, so they clearly want fans to get the message that he’s Jack now – not John.
There’s a good reason for that since John Cates (Adam Harrington) is on canvas as well.
It could get confusing with two Johns, so it makes sense that the show’s giving Brennan a different first name.
Of course, it would’ve made even more sense for John Cates to just keep going by “Jagger” instead of ditching his familiar nickname, especially since most fans still call him “Jagger” anyway.
Nevertheless, the show apparently wanted Special Agent Cates to seem a bit more grown up and professional, so he’s John instead of “Jagger” these days.
As for Jack Brennan, it’s a reasonable name alteration since “Jack” is a pretty common nickname for John.
That said, most people like Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) just call him Brennan, so that works, too!
Major Character Exits
Finally, we should mention that Nicholas Alexander Chavez (Spencer Cassadine) is no longer listed in the contract section of the closing credits, so it looks like Chavez has been released from his GH contract and has made his GH exit.
