General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Friday, May 3, reveals that during a break from a workout in the park, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) came clean to Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) about maybe changing her major to something else.
Josslyn’s heart wasn’t in being a doctor, but Trina thought this had something to do with all the Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) drama.
Dex locked eyes with Josslyn as he jogged by with the other police academy recruits, so Trina pushed Joss to admit she was still in love with him.
Meanwhile, Dex hit the showers and put on the new uniform he’d been given, so he seemed confident in his fresh direction as he looked in the mirror.
At Alexis Davis’ (Nancy Lee Grahn) place, Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi) talked to her mom and Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) about how profound this pregnancy was – though she didn’t feel comfortable opening up to Molly Lansing-Davis (Kristen Vaganos) since the topic was sensitive.
After Sam left, Kristina complained about feeling micromanaged and acted like Molly and TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellow) were treating everything like a checklist instead of falling in love with the baby like she’d been doing.
Once Alexis pushed for honesty, she asked if Kristina was starting to think of this baby as hers more than Molly’s.
Elsewhere, Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) joined Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) for her meeting with Congressman McConkey (Sam McMurray), who revealed that he had stage IV lung cancer and that was why he was trusting Nina to give the public updates on his news.
Nina objected when Drew still made his pitch for revitalizing the piers and suggested this waterfront project could leave a legacy behind.
Congressman McConkey liked the fact that Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) was involved, but he turned to Nina for her opinion on whether he should trust Drew.
Nina put in a good word for Drew since he was a former Navy SEAL who was tough yet fair.
Congressman McConkey still needed to see the numbers and wanted his wife to do the ribbon cutting ceremony, but he shook on the tentative deal with Drew.
Next on Friday’s GH episode, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) stopped by to see Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna), so he gave him some expensive new boxing gloves and a warning that Dex couldn’t be trusted to have his back at the PCPD.
Once Sonny made it home, he found Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) bickering with Ava Jerome (Maura West).
Carly insisted on speaking with Sonny alone and made it clear that it wasn’t good for Donna Corinthos (Scarlett Spears) to be there with him anymore.
Sonny said Carly would have to take him to court, but Carly basically offered a prediction that the judge would side with her under the circumstances.
After Carly realized how paranoid and out of character Sonny was acting, she gasped in horror and ran to his bathroom.
Carly began digging out Sonny’s pill bottles and demanded to know if he was taking his medication, but he acted insulted.
Ava seemed anxious as she found Carly arguing with Sonny about his prescription.
Carly wanted to call the pharmacy and ultimately suggested Sonny should get his blood level checked to make sure his dosage was enough.
Sonny wasn’t interested in doing that and kicked Carly out, so Ava immediately played up how Sonny had every right to be furious.
After Sonny stomped into the other room, Ava nervously took the nearby pill bottle in her hands.
Once Sam joined Dante at home, he talked about his earlier conversation with Sonny.
Dante seemed like he’d had an epiphany about not being able to be a good cop while protecting his father.
Since Dante had gone easy on Sonny, he hinted about having no business being on the force if he wouldn’t go by the law.
General Hospital spoilers say Dante could be headed down a new career path, so stay tuned.
