General Hospital Friday, September 20 Recap- Sidwell’s Trap for Jason & Anna, Liz & Lucky’s Reunion with a Twist

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Friday, September 20, reveals that Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) and Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) had a big fight about ELQ, Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) and whether John “Jagger” Cates (Adam J. Harrington) would be alive if Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) hadn’t shown up.

Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) dragged Michael off for a night on the town while Lois Cerullo (Rena Sofer) tried to dial down Ned’s animosity toward Sonny.

Giovanni “Gio” Palmieri (Giovanni Mazza) eventually jumped in and defended Lois when Ned lashed out at her, too.

After Lois reverted to her old accent for Gio, she talked about the multiple versions of Sonny and how the good could exist with the bad.

At The Savoy, Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) was enjoying a night out with Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) when Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) grabbed a table with Drew Quartermaine (Cameron Mathison) nearby.

Although Drew was feeling good about his poll numbers, Nina pushed him not to get too smug about it.

Nina also felt it was time for Drew to hand over the reins at Aurora since he was only going to get busier from here.

With that in mind, Drew cornered Curtis privately and asked him to step up as Aurora’s acting CEO.

Meanwhile, Nina faced questions from Portia about her connection to Drew and sudden interest in politics.

Once Michael and Willow showed up, Nina eventually spoke to Michael alone and hinted that he was the natural fit to step up in the Aurora CEO spot.

However, Michael was taken aback later when Drew told him about selecting Curtis as his acting CEO instead.

As for Willow, she seemed rattled over Drew’s presence and learned Nina was accompanying him as a way to boost his campaign.

Willow struggled to be in the same room with Drew, so she wanted to make a sneaky escape.

Although Willow tried to send a message through Nneka about heading home because she wasn’t feeling well, Drew popped up and said he’d take care of it.

Once Drew was alone with Willow, he warned that always running away from each other would draw attention to a problem that didn’t exist.

Willow decided to stick around and downplayed the drama when Nina questioned her.

Curtis also gave Portia updates on his temporary promotion and hoped that it could ultimately become a permanent one.

Next on Friday’s GH episode, a badly beaten Lucky Spencer (Jonathan Jackson) was dumped in a cell, where he dreamed Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) was there with him.

“Liz” pushed Lucky to have the guts to come home and admit he messed up by running away.

Once “Elizabeth” gave Lucky a bravery boost, he woke up started working on picking the cell lock.

At the nightclub, Holly Sutton (Emma Samms) bickered with Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) over the stolen phone, which would do her no good since Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) changed the passcode daily anyway.

Anna gave Holly the news on Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins) needing a liver transplant and suggested that Lucky could be her best match.

Holly confirmed that Lucky was at Sidwell’s camp, but security was airtight there. Anna argued that it’d have to be an inside job then and needed Holly’s help.

At the card table, Jason accused Sidwell of cheating with the woman who had cards up her sleeve nearby.

Sidwell denied it, but he agreed to play another hand with a fresh deck.

Once Sidwell lost, he wanted to head back to the camp with Holly.

However, Holly pushed Sidwell to play again and complained when he lost the bracelet he promised her.

At one point, Sidwell spoke with an employee who’d been eavesdropping on part of Anna’s conversation with Holly, so he got troubling info off-screen.

Holly ultimately suggested Sidwell should invite Jason and Anna back to the camp so he’d have more funds to win the bracelet back.

Sidwell agreed and extended the invitation, which Anna and Jason accepted.

While Jason and Anna went to retrieve their things from the hotel, Sidwell assured Holly that she’d get her bracelet back one way or another.

As for Anna and Jason, Sidwell suggested that they had been deceiving him and told Holly that they’d pay the price for it. That news left Holly looking uneasy.

General Hospital spoilers say Lucky, Holly, Anna and Jason all have some tight spots ahead of them, so stay tuned!
