General Hospital Recap: Monday, February 12 – Ace’s Adoptive Parents Revealed – Nina Ruins Carly’s Deadline

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Monday, February 12, reveals that Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) and Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) arrived to find the Crimson office set up for maintenance, so Nina Corinthos (Cynthia Watros) appeared with an explanation about some repairs and the three-day job to fix everything.

Carly accused Nina of sabotaging her since that was the deadline for her first issue and stomped off to get legal help.

Drew stayed behind to warn Nina about getting burned if she played with fire, but Nina was done getting pushed around.

Later, Nina slipped the repairman some cash so that he’d take longer to finish the job and got reassurance that they had an understanding.

At the Metro Court restaurant, Gregory Chase (Gregory Harrison) gave Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) updates on his decision to move in with Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton).

After Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) appeared and threw some roll remnants from another customer’s table at Tracy’s back, she said that’s all the dough Tracy would get out of her.

It became apparent that Lucy was lashing out over Tracy meddling in her relationship, but Tracy pointed out that she tried to make things right.

Lucy said it came too late, so Tracy cackled as she realized Lucy really did sleep with Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner).

Once Lucy found out Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight) was headed over to Laura Collins’ (Genie Francis) place, she left in a hurry.

Gregory got his conversation with Tracy back on track and admitted he hated giving up his independence, but Tracy acknowledged that living with family wasn’t so bad and said the Quartermaine mansion felt like home.

Nearby, Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) chatted with Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) before Carly popped up to ask for Diane’s legal assistance.

Diane heard the news about Nina’s latest sabotage before Drew appeared and insisted they needed to take Nina down.

Carly was more interested in protecting the magazine, so Drew walked away to cool off.

Diane questioned Carly about the trouble with Drew, so Carly confessed that Drew’s desire for revenge was only going to keep pulling them back in Nina’s orbit.

Next on Monday’s GH episode, Drew got on the phone with someone and wanted info on all Nina’s Aurora connections since he wanted to completely cut ties.

Over with Martin, he surprised Laura with adoption papers for Ace Cassadine (Jay and Joey Clay) and said he got Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss) approval.

Since Nikolas was looking at a lengthy stint in prison, Martin felt this was the best course of action for Ace – though he left the decision in Laura’s hands and mentioned his trip out of town.

Lucy showed up at one point and learned Martin was headed to the airport, so she bought a ticket to Duluth so she could score a boarding pass. Sadly, Lucy wasn’t able to catch up with Martin in time.

Back with Kevin, he assured Laura that he’d support her if she decided to adopt Ace. Laura insisted it’d have to be a mutual decision – meaning they would adopt Ace together.

Kevin acknowledged that it’d be his first time raising a child other than a brief stepdad stint, but he ultimately decided he was on board.

Laura and Kevin agreed on the adoption, so they were both committed to doing this.

At the Quartermaine gatehouse, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) arrived to find Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) with Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen), so she was pleased to see them patching things up.

While Willow was in the other room, Josslyn heard about Michael’s attempt to make peace with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard).

That was a relief to Josslyn since she felt like the friction between Sonny and Michael put Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) in more danger.

Michael mentioned that his arrangement with Dex was becoming more important lately due to the threat to Sonny. Josslyn heard what went down in Puerto Rico and was concerned for Dex’s safety.

Later, Willow admitted to Michael that although they had work to do in repairing their marriage, she wanted him back home permanently. Michael was pleased as he shared a kiss with Willow to seal the deal.

At the gallery, Trina dropped a painting and had an emotional outburst, but Dex helped her pick it up and brought her some calming tea that Josslyn usually liked.

Ava reassured Trina about the painting being repaired and listened as Trina discussed her grief over Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez).

Trina hinted that it would’ve been better for her to perish instead, but Ava didn’t want her talking like that and teared up over how grateful she was to still have Trina and Avery Corinthos (Ava and Grace Scarola).

Ava also reflected on her grief over losing Kiki Jerome (Hayley Erin) and how the pain dulled enough to live with it eventually.

Once Josslyn showed up, she learned that Dex had been there, but he’d been called away for something urgent.

In Sonny’s office, Brick (Stephen A. Smith) spelled out why he thought Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) was guilty, though he admitted it was just his theory.

Sonny ultimately knew what he had to do and had Frank (Frank Lyon) escort Dex to a car, which Sonny was sitting in the back of.

Dex wondered what was going on, so Sonny admitted they were going to take a little ride.

General Hospital spoilers say Dex will land in a terrible predicament soon, so stay tuned!
