General Hospital Recap: Monday, February 5 – Dante Arrests Nikolas – Spencer’s Obituary – Lucy’s Heartbreaking Split

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Monday, February 5, reveals that Gregory Chase (Gregory Harrison) could tell something was bothering Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn), so she offered updates on Spencer Cassadine’s (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) tragic fate.

Gregory also heard about Esme Prince’s (Avery Pohl) role in Spencer’s demise since Alexis blamed herself for giving Esme a reason to stick around Port Charles.

At Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) place, he also spoke with Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) and Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) about Spencer before Sam headed to The Invader.

Alexis was struggling to discuss Spencer in the past tense, but Sam got her talking about some happy memories and helped her write Spencer’s emotional obituary.

Back with Sonny, he gave Dante the news about someone trying to take him out in Puerto Rico.

Dante heard the details and realized it could be an inside job, so he insisted they had to question those closest to Sonny and assume everyone was guilty until proven otherwise.

Meanwhile, Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) prepared for a barn-themed Deception photoshoot and complained about Scott Baldwin’s (Kin Shriner) lack of progress with Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot).

Scott also quizzed Lucy about whether Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight) was really worth all her trouble, but she was confident that they’d fix their relationship.

At the Metro Court, Tracy approached Martin and played up the fact that Scott and Lucy were never going to keep their distance.

When Lucy found Martin and begged for another chance, Martin insisted this wasn’t working anymore and broke up with her.

Tracy was pleased initially, but then Gregory filled her in on Martin’s great-nephew passing away.

The news about Spencer and Esme shifted Tracy’s mood, so she approached Martin again and planned to make a confession.

Back at the photoshoot set, Lucy cried to Scott about the breakup, but he insisted Lucy was the best there was and planted a big kiss on her.

At the motel, John Cates (Adam Harrington) explained that he outgrew his “Jagger” nickname as Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) introduced him to Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper).

Jordan and Anna wanted to be deputized and included in the investigation, but John insisted this was bigger than what happened to Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner).

The rifle was part of a larger supply of weapons stolen from the WSB and used for many criminal activities all over the place.

After a phone call to his superiors, John informed Anna and Jordan that they blew his best lead with their trap for O’Neill (Jeff Leaf), who had lawyered up and was demanding full immunity – which he’d never get.

John asked if Jordan and Anna managed to get any useful information from O’Neill, but they wanted to trade info instead of spilling and being cast aside.

After John expressed concern about Anna and Jordan relaying details about the case to Sonny, Anna argued that she could keep Sonny in line.

John doubted that and eventually placed Anna under arrest along with Jordan since they had obstructed the FBI’s investigation.

At Laura Collins’ (Genie Francis) place, she hugged Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss) and confirmed that what he’d heard about Spencer was true.

Once Ace Cassadine (Jay and Joey Clay) was in the other room, Nikolas opened up to Laura about blaming himself for Spencer’s demise.

Laura acknowledged that it was a bad idea for Nikolas to take Ace, but she held Esme responsible for what happened in Paris and loved Nik no matter what.

However, Laura became angry when Nikolas acted like he had no choice to leave again with Ace. If that’s the kind of father Nikolas was, Laura warned that maybe Ace would be better off without him!

Nikolas decided Laura was right and that he should just leave alone, but that’s not what she wanted either.

Laura insisted it wasn’t too late for Nikolas to take responsibility for his actions, so he finally caved and let her call Dante so he could turn himself in for holding Esme captive.

Dante came over immediately on Monday’s GH episode, so Nikolas told Ace that he loved him before Dante hauled him off in handcuffs.
