General Hospital Recap Thursday, March 14: Flashback Reveals How John Forced Jason to Work as Mercenary

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Thursday, March 14, reveals that Lois Cerullo (Rena Sofer) brought Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) some ziti and got him to open up about the Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) situation.

Sonny suggested he couldn’t believe Jason would betray him at first, but now he thought maybe Jason had forgotten how to be loyal.

Sonny also reflected on Jason falling in love with Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) and feeling like the last to know, so he acknowledged that broke some trust.

Although Sonny felt responsible for Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) landing in danger, Lois urged Sonny to cut himself slack and know that Dante could feel his love.

At GH, Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi) was surprised to learn Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) wasn’t defending Jason and claiming it was all a big mistake.

If that’s what Kristina wanted to hear, Sam suggested she should talk to Carly!

Sam gave Kristina updates on Jason showing up at Carly’s place, but she clarified that the topic of Dante was never brought up.

When Danny Morgan (Asher Jared Antonyzyn) showed up again after getting a ride from Yuri (Cyrus Hobbi), Sam snapped at him.

However, Kristina pointed out that Danny was probably there because his father was alive and a suspect in Dante’s ordeal.

Sam realized she’d been insensitive and apologized to Danny, who suggested maybe Jason had reasons for keeping them in the dark on his survival.

Kristina noted that Jason was innocent until proven guilty and thought only Jason could give Danny answers about why he stayed away.

At the PCPD, Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) played back Jason’s 911 call before Molly Lansing-Davis (Kristina Vaganos) joined her with questions about the potential charges for Jason.

Anna admitted she didn’t want to believe Jason was guilty, but she knew she had to be impartial.

Molly sought advice on how to do that since she was struggling to believe Jason’s guilt, too.

After recapping the evidence, Anna pointed out that something else seemed to be going on here – something she just wasn’t seeing yet.

At the Quartermaine gatehouse, Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) showed up looking for Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell), but Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) said he was out running an errand.

Drew gave Willow the news about his breakup with Carly and shared some wine with her.

After Drew explained that Jason would always be Carly’s priority, Willow assured Drew that he deserved better than that – and he said he intended to find it.

At Carly’s place, John “Jagger” Cates (Adam Harrington) arrived and asked for her help.

Since Carly was so convinced that Jason was innocent, John urged her to tell him why.

Carly pointed out that Jason wouldn’t be reckless enough to fire at someone without knowing who it was, and he certainly wouldn’t have taken down a cop – especially not Sonny’s son.

Furthermore, Dante was living with Sam and helping her raise Danny.

John acted like that could be a motive for Jason to go after Dante, but Carly thought that was ridiculous.

Carly eventually got riled over John’s repeated attempts to make Jason sound guilty, so she told him to leave and warned him not to come back without a warrant.

As John exited, he commented on the fact that it got under Carly’s skin every time he mentioned Jason’s name.

At the Quartermaine boathouse, Michael brought Jason a change of clothes since Willow insisted on it.

Jason took off his shirt and revealed that his arm was covered in tattoos, so Michael noticed and asked what happened to him.

Although Michael wanted to get rid of Jason’s old clothes, Jason insisted he’d need them when he left since there couldn’t be anything that proved he got help hiding out.

Michael wanted to know where Jason had been, so Jason shared how the collapsed tunnel was blocked.

When Jason made it out to the beach, a couple of armed men were waiting and took him prisoner.

After Jason was flown out of Greece, he ended up in a room with no windows.

Jason said they had leverage to force him to agree to a job, but he couldn’t tell Michael what the leverage was.

Jason explained that the job involved being a private military contractor, so he was a mercenary.

Once Jason confirmed that he was working with the sniper on the roof, he said he found out Sonny was the target and made Hamish (Chris Gann) miss.

Michael asked if Jason would’ve come back to Port Charles if he wasn’t sent to take down Sonny, so Jason wasn’t sure.

The job wasn’t done – and if Jason didn’t finish it, something happened that he couldn’t live with.

Once Michael returned to the gatehouse, Drew decided to head out and said he’d let Willow fill him in.

Willow told Michael about Drew’s split from Carly and said she’d wash Jason’s old clothes.

Michael wondered if Willow was sure about being involved, but she insisted all they could do was see it through.

Meanwhile, Jason flashed back to being chained to a table at Quantico, where Agent Cates introduced himself and offered incontrovertible proof of RICO violations that carried a 20-year sentence.
