General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Tuesday, January 2, reveals that Nina Corinthos (Cynthia Watros) flashed back to Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) forever wedding vows and knew she had to tell him the truth.
Right as Nina was about to rush out the door, Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) showed up at Crimson with a wardrobe emergency.
The dress Willow changed into at work had torn, so Nina hooked her up with a beautiful new one and even took her own necklace off to complete the look.
Nina got emotional and blamed it on all the moments she’d missed with Willow, but Willow insisted they’d have many more.
After Nina offered to send Willow’s ripped dress to her alterations person, Willow expressed her gratitude and gave her a hug before they headed to The Savoy.
Down on the pier, Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) told Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) and Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) they had to get back to Lois Cerullo (Rena Sofer) since she was about to blow things up.
At The Savoy, Lois kept insisting that Sonny’s family was lying to him and that Ned wasn’t responsible for ratting out Drew Cain (Cameron Mathsion) and Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) to the SEC.
When Michael appeared with Ned and Olivia, Lois pushed Michael to come clean to Sonny.
Now that Lois had blabbed, Ned confirmed he wasn’t the SEC snitch before leaving with Olivia and Lois.
That led to Sonny grilling Michael and finding out he’d known who the real SEC snitch was since October.
Sonny was furious over the deception and wondered if his reconciliation with Michael was a lie, but Michael insisted he didn’t want to ruin Sonny’s happiness.
Michael hinted about this affecting someone else he cared about, so Sonny realized he meant Willow.
As Sonny pressured Michael for the truth, Michael blurted out that Nina was the SEC informant right as she entered with Willow.
At the Quartermaine mansion, Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) and Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) snuck in so they could steal some good Champagne to celebrate New Year’s Eve.
Chase was surprised over Gregory Chase (Gregory Harrison) texting skydiving pics, which seemed to leave him both happy and sad.
It was nice to see Gregory being active, but Chase also knew his dad never even would’ve thought of skydiving if he weren’t facing a grim fate.
Once Chase got called away for work on Tuesday’s GH episode, Brook Lynn stayed behind and got all the real SEC rat news from Ned.
Meanwhile, Olivia lashed out at Lois in the living room, but Lois defended her decision to be a good friend to Sonny and tell him the truth.
Lois took a jab about how Olivia should know better than anyone what it means to keep a secret from Sonny.
Olivia fumed since she knew Olivia was referring to her deception over Dante Falconeri’s (Dominic Zamprogna) paternity, which led to him nearly losing his life.
That was something that haunted Olivia, so she asked how long Lois had been waiting to throw that in her face and stormed out.
While Ned chased after Olivia, Lois worried to Brook Lynn that she’d started off her new year by losing her oldest friend.
At home, Sam McCall (temporarily played by Lindsay Hartley) was about to get steamy with Dante when Scout Cain (Cosette Abinante) interrupted following a nightmare.
Scout had a bad dream about the teacher at her new school being a monster.
Since changing schools was clearly stressing Scout out, Sam assured her daughter that she didn’t have to go and could stay with all her friends.
Once Scout was back in bed, Sam second-guessed her choice since she did what Drew did and made a unilateral decision.
That said, Sam didn’t know what else to do since this was clearly upsetting Scout.
Sam reflected on how she’d been in lockstep with Drew until he got back from Pentonville and worried it was a mistake to shut down what Drew wanted. Dante had Sam’s back and seemed confident it would all work out.
In Carly’s kitchen, Drew ate some of Josslyn Jacks’ (Eden McCoy) leftovers before admitting to Carly he cut his trip short because he got impatient with some board members.
Drew handed the rest of the work over to a colleague so that he wouldn’t blow up the deal altogether.
Drew reflected on how he wanted to make some changes in the new year since he wasn’t comfortable playing Quartermaine peacemaker anymore.
As far as Drew was concerned, his forgiving nature hadn’t gotten him anything except months in Pentonville.
Carly seemed a bit unnerved over the post-prison change in Drew since she loved how kind and generous he was. Even so, Drew pointed out that he wasn’t a choir boy.
There was some talk about Drew making the decision about Scout’s school without discussing it with Sam first.
Carly knew that Drew “went through hell” and acknowledged that it changed him, so she assured him that he didn’t have to carry this burden alone.
Drew appreciated having Carly in his corner and gave her a hug before heading off to start a fire. That gave Carly a chance to take a phone call alone.
When Drew returned, he wondered what was wrong since Carly had tears in her eyes.
Carly admitted that Bobbie Spencer (Jacklyn Zeman) had passed away as she stood there in shock over the American embassy’s updates.
General Hospital spoilers say some difficult moments are ahead for Carly, but she’ll have a big support system.
