General Hospital Recap: Wednesday, February 14 – Danny’s Wild Night Reminds Sam of Jason – Carly & Michael Disgust Sonny

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Wednesday, February 14, reveals that Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) tried to do something special for Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) by surprising her with a boathouse picnic under the stars.

Chase thought they could watch the comet that was supposed to pass over, but the space heaters were on the fritz and the comet was slow to arrive.

Brook Lynn finally admitted she didn’t care about Valentine’s Day and felt that Chase showed his love in their daily lives.

Chase agreed about not needing to celebrate the commercial holiday, but they saw the comet just before they went inside and found a little Valentine’s Day magic after all.

Afterward, Brook Lynn and Chase wound up in the bedroom for lovemaking.

At the Quartermaine gatehouse, Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) acknowledged that she overreacted to Michael Corinthos’ (Chad Duell) secrets, but it shook the foundation for her since her history came with so much manipulation and deception.

Michael assured Willow that he’d never go rogue again, so they agreed they’d tackle things honestly as a team and got passionate once promises were made.

Meanwhile, Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) and Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) came home to find that Marshall Ashford (Robert Gossett) left a romantic dinner for them before he went out with Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali).

Portia enjoyed the meal with Curtis, who eventually suggested they should celebrate their anniversary properly.

That led to Curtis and Portia hitting the sheets, so they cuddled after that huge milestone and talked about having a love that was meant to last.

At The Savoy, Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) and Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) tried to lift Lucy Coe’s (Lynn Herring) spirits with a ladies’ night since she was upset over losing Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight), who still wouldn’t take her calls.

When Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) appeared with Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson), he played dumb about Maxie being there and shared a look with a smiling Sasha.

After Lucy stepped away from the table, she eventually got overwhelmed over her lonely Valentine’s Day and took off.

Back with Sasha, she fished to find out more about Maxie’s feelings for Spinelli, so Maxie admitted she’d thought trying again with him once or twice.

The problem involved Nathan West (Ryan Paevey) since Maxie wasn’t sure she could ever love someone like she loved him.

Maxie assumed the same was true for Sasha about Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor), but Sasha felt that it was possible to move on and simply love someone in a different way.

Over with Spinelli, he bailed on the idea of Cody helping him find a new woman, so Cody thought maybe Spinelli didn’t want Maxie to see him with someone else.

When the babysitter called with news on James West (Gary James Fuller) sneaking out of bed repeatedly, Cody urged Spinelli to give Maxie updates.

While Maxie and Spinelli were chatting, Cody and Sasha compared notes at the bar.

Although Spinelli and Maxie weren’t able to make it work in the past, Cody suggested maybe the timing was just off.

Cody didn’t like the idea of a good match missing out on something great, so that obviously applied to his relationship with Sasha, too.

At home on Wednesday’s GH episode, Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) opened Dante Falconeri’s (Dominic Zampogna) Valentine’s Day gift and gushed over her new leather jacket.

A cop arrived to drop off Danny Morgan (Asher Jared Antonyzyn) since he found him drinking with some other teens in the park.

Since the cop knew Dante was on the force and this was Danny’s first offense, he let him off with a warning.

Danny was visibly drunk as Sam ripped into him for sneaking out on the fire escape and underage drinking with his friends.

Sam grounded Danny and took his phone away, but he acted like he wasn’t doing anything she didn’t do at his age.

Danny rushed to the bathroom since he wasn’t feeling well, so Sam opened up to Dante about her own troubled teenage years and the fact that Danny was an adrenaline junkie like his dad.

Danny was reminding Sam more of Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) every day, so she was concerned about the risks he was taking.

Dante gave Sam a pep talk before Danny returned feeling a bit better.

After Danny accepted a glass of water from Dante, Sam told her son that she loved him. Danny said he loved Sam too, so they ended the night on decent terms.

Sam was able to get her Valentine’s Day with Dante back on track as they ultimately got passionate.

In the Pine Barrens, Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) showed up and said she was there to stop Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) from taking out an innocent man.

Carly claimed Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) was working for her to keep Sonny safe, but Sonny knew she didn’t have the money for those payments.

Sonny was ultimately able to figure out that Carly was protecting Michael, so Carly confessed that Michael was the one who first hired Dex.

That led to Sonny realizing Michael hired Dex to take him down, but Dex piped up that Michael couldn’t go through with it.

However, Dex stayed on board to watch over Sonny at Carly and Michael’s request, so Sonny fumed over them thinking he didn’t know how to run his own business.

Carly argued that Sonny chose Nina Corinthos (Cynthia Watros) over his family and had no one at the time. Sonny was stuck in all the Pikeman drama, so Carly defended their actions.

After Sonny refused to listen to Carly justify this betrayal, he got back in the car with his driver and told him to just keep driving instead of going home or to the office.

Sonny flashed back to Michael’s latest attempt to make amends and continued to fume over all the lies.

Dex was grateful to Carly for saving his life, but they both seemed pensive now that everything had blown up.

General Hospital spoilers say Sonny will make some bold moves soon, so don’t miss the chaos that’s brewing.
