General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Wednesday, September 4, reveals that Drew Quartermaine (Cameron Mathison) told Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) about kissing Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) and admitted their connection was only growing stronger.
Curtis thought Drew could stop this before it got out of hand, but Drew seemed concerned that it was already too late for that. Nevertheless, Drew didn’t want to cause problems for Willow and vowed that nothing would happen again.
Meanwhile, Willow appeared ready to confess to Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell), but he had to take off to deal with a Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi) crisis.
Once Willow was alone, she dreamed she was making love to Michael before he morphed into Drew. Willow woke up startled and remained upset about Drew constantly being on her mind.
After Kristina realized the gun was missing from her purse, she convinced Michael to come over to Alexis Davis’ (Nancy Lee Grahn) place and filled him in on the situation. Kristina admitted she stole the weapon to go after Ava Jerome (Maura West) and Agent John “Jagger” Cates (Adam J. Harrington), but she hadn’t actually used it.
Michael shocked Kristina with the news of Agent Cates being shot dead, but he left out the part about knowing Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) was guilty. Instead, Michael downplayed the idea that Sonny was responsible when Kristina asked.
On the footbridge, Alexis frantically tried to reach Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) about what to do with the gun. When Alexis couldn’t get in touch, she tossed the weapon into the water – just in time for Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) and Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) to witness it.
Alexis tried to play it off like she ditched her non-working phone in frustration and ultimately took off. Liz and Ric privately discussed how they’d seen a gun, so they mulled over what was going on.
At Sonny’s penthouse, Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) helped him work out the details of their alibi since they’d inevitably face more questions. When Carly started grilling Sonny about Agent Cates, Sonny said he couldn’t discuss it – unless she was willing to marry him again so they could invoke spousal privilege.
Carly made it clear she wouldn’t be going that far, but she did agree to stay the night to help sell their story. However, Carly insisted she’d take the guest room and picked the small one since she didn’t want the big one Ava last stayed in.
Once Sonny was alone, he noticed the cabinet door was ajar and checked the safe. After Sonny realized a gun was missing, he fumed over this disturbing development.
While Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) put Brick (Stephen A. Smith) to work on finding out “John Doe” aka Dr. Isaiah Gannon’s (Sawandi Wilson) identity, Sidwell (Carlo Rota) played another game of cards with Lucky Spencer (Jonathan Jackson).
Lucky wanted to play for his freedom on Wednesday’s GH episode, but Sidwell suggested the best he could offer was letting Lucky live until he lost.
Sidwell had insomnia because of a woman he’d become enamored with in Monte Carlo. Once Sidwell gushed over her, Lucky flashed back to dancing with Elizabeth to suggest he was hung up on someone, too.
Later, the woman on Sidwell’s mind showed up – and she was none other than Holly Sutton (Emma Samms)!
In Robert Scorpio’s (Tristan Rogers) office, he spoke to Mac Scorpio (John J. York) about Sonny having motive and opportunity to go after Agent Cates.
At the PCPD, Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) convinced Diane to represent Ava along with him, so they spilled their story to Anna Devane (Finola Hughes). Ava insisted Cates coerced her into making a statement against Kristina and then had a fake FBI agent try to take her out.
Anna heard about Jason stumbling across the hit-and-run victim before saving Ava from Boyle (Amor Owens), but she acted like maybe there was more to the story.
Jason said there was nothing else to tell – and after Anna grilled him in private about John’s murder, Jason insisted he knew nothing. Anna mentioned Sonny’s motive before declaring that the person responsible for taking out John would spend life in prison.
Once Alexis barged in Robert’s office to complain about Agent Cates, she was stunned over his updates about John being shot dead.
