General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) is returning to Port Charles, but some viewers might not be familiar with the conniving character who was last seen in 2016.

Here are five Ric Lansing shockers that fans need to know before his PC comeback.
1) Ric is Sonny’s half-brother.
It came as quite a surprise to Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) when Ric showed up in town and eventually revealed he was his half-brother.
The siblings had a major rivalry since Ric was always scheming and finding new ways to provoke Sonny.
2) Ric is Molly Lansing-Davis’ dad.
This one may not be all that shocking since Molly Lansing-Davis (Kristen Vaganos) bears her father’s name, but it’s still worth mentioning that Ric is Molly’s dad.
The show is always playing up the Davis girls as a family while Ric barely gets mentioned, so it’ll be nice to see him reconnect with his daughter – especially considering all the baby drama that’s going on.
3) Ric married Nina for money and cheated with her mother.
Ric obviously had a romance with Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) since she’s Molly’s mother, but he had plenty of other love interests over the years.
One noteworthy storyline involved Ric marrying Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) for her money while cheating and plotting with her own mother, Madeline Reeves (Donna Mills)!
4) Ric faked his death with Anna’s help.
Back when Julian Jerome (William deVry) was alive, he framed Ric for various crimes and caused him to take drastic action.
Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) helped Ric fake his death, so it looked like he suffered a grim fate due to Sonny’s mayhem – at least until the truth was revealed.
5) Ric has a messy romantic history with Elizabeth.
Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst) is also Ric’s former flame, but they have a messy history that could get in the way of any potential reunion.
Ric has shown his true colors to Liz on more than one occasion, but could forgiveness and a fresh start be possible?
Anything can happen on a soap, but Ric could have some competition for Elizabeth’s heart since another one of her exes is set to return.
Lucky Spencer (Jonathan Jackson) is coming back to Port Charles later this summer as well, so it’ll be interesting to see what Liz’s romantic future looks like.
