General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) has been pleased to see Jake Webber (Hudson West) letting his guard down with Jason Morgan (Steve Burton). Liz has always left the ball in Jake’s court when it comes to reconnecting with his dad, but she’s certainly rooting for them to have a relationship.
Elizabeth may feel the same way once Lucky Spencer (Jonathan Jackson) reenters the picture for Aiden Webber (Tristan Riggs).
Lucky obviously hasn’t been a very present father for Aiden, but he may soon have a reason to change that.
Although GH writers wrote in some off-screen trips where Aiden went to see Lucky, their relationship hasn’t been mentioned much in recent years.
However, there may be a situation coming up where Lucky will really need his dad in Port Charles.
For starters, Aiden already had to watch Cameron Webber (Cameron Mathison) go off to college in California.
Now Jake is headed for the art academy in Barcelona, so Aiden could get pretty lonely without any of his brothers around.
Losing Jake could be especially tough if he’s perhaps been trying to protect Aiden.
A couple months ago, it seemed like Aiden was being targeted since he had pink paint in his hair and on his backpack.
The other students who were after Aiden could still be harassing him while he’s on summer break.
It’s hard to know for sure what Aiden might be going through since he’s apparently keeping secrets from Liz.
That storyline made its way to the backburner, but it may come back around now that we know Lucky is returning later this summer.
Could Aiden’s situation escalate and leave him in danger?
Aiden may land in a crisis that forces Lucky to come home and step up as a real father to him.
That could bring an awkward, rocky reunion, but it’ll be nice to see Lucky make an effort to reconnect with his son.
Aiden came out to Elizabeth when he told her about Tobias, the boy he was interested in at school.
There’s a good chance Lucky is still in the dark, so Aiden may eventually open up to his dad as well – especially if he’s been targeted for being gay.
