General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal fans have been eager for clarity when it comes to the role of Lulu Spencer and who’ll be playing her when she returns to the canvas this fall. Ever since Emme Rylan (ex-Lulu Spencer from 2013-2020) confirmed that she hadn’t been asked back to the show, there have been plenty of names tossed around in speculation.
Fortunately, one name has finally risen to the surface based on set-side sources at GH.
Daytime Confidential’s report points to Alexa Havins scoring the part, so that’s good news if you enjoyed watching her as Babe Carey on All My Children.
Havins was a hit on AMC from 2003-2007 and earned praise for her fantastic portrayal of Babe.
Although recasts always take some getting used to, we have no doubt that Havins will make the role of Lulu her own and bring something fresh to the table.
Some fans were holding out hope that Julie Marie Berman might return since she played Lulu from 2005-2013. However, insiders insist that Berman turned down the chance to make a comeback as Lulu, which led to this search for a brand-new version.
Now that Alexa Havins is set to make her GH debut, we can look forward to some great Lulu-driven stories.
Lulu and Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) will inevitably reunite sooner or later, so it’ll be interesting to see what their chemistry looks like.
Of course, Dante will have to deal with a tough loss before he can even think about a new chapter with Lulu.
Word has it that Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) will be killed off when she makes her upcoming exit from the show, so Dante has a mourning period ahead of him.
Thankfully, Lulu’s coma awakening is on the way, so that’ll set the stage for her own romantic reconnection with Dante when the time is right.
How do you feel about Alexa Havins joining GH as a Lulu Spencer recast? Do you think she’ll be a good fit for the part?
